Renningers Antique Extravaganza

I wish I could have brought you all along with me yesterday.   I went to Renningers, an antique market in Mount Dora, Florida, 1/2 hour west of Orlando.

Three times a year they host an "Antique Extravaganza" with a 1000 dealers from around the country!

Rows and fields of vendors

A vendor I always look forward to seeing is Cindy Cross, she has  a ton of small things

I bought a few of those bedsprings, I am not sure what I will use them for, but I just had to have them!

OK, so here was my buy's for the day, some springs, jars, jewels, fabric, pin cushion and linen.

I love the hat and I often buy linen just to use the crochet edge.  I can pick a stained piece up for .50 -$1.00, but the hand crochet edging....Priceless

It was my idea of a perfect day
Sunny
73 degrees
Surrounded by junk!

  4. I am so jealous of 73! It's 7 below zero here today! I need to plan my next Florida Vacation around the next antique extravegnaza! Love the bedsprings too. If you go to Pinterest they have 6,777 cute ideas. I know whatever you do with them, it will be adorable! :)

  5. I have been housebound all weekend and who knows how much longer while I wait for my car to be repaired and it was in the teens here this morning. So a huge THANKS for taking me to the virtual flea market. We would have fought over the doilies, but those rusty springs?!? Hope your tetanus is up to date - LOL! I cannot wait for your guest blogger, I am from Missouri as well - woohoo!

  6. Hi Carol: Loved the virtual tour. I'm jealous of that balmy 70+ weather though. We are freezing our potatoes off here in the mid-west. One of the vendors in our shop spray painted those old rusty springs matt-black and put them on top of small votive lights (the kind with batteries). They look very sweet in rows of three! Thanks for posting such delicious "picks"!!! Claudia

  7. Do you know what the tiny pink figures at the bottom of the third picture are? I have a few of those and would love to find some more. Thanks!

  8. Loved the tour - thank you for sharing. I love the smalls, too. So much easier to part with the money a few dollars at a time - haha! Would loved to have been able to paw through those bins of sewing notions.
I am new to your blog and looking forward to seeing what you do with the salvaged crochet edges.

  17. It looks like it was a great sale! I used to go to the Portland (Oregon) Expo a few times a year where there were almost 1000 dealers. It was SO much fun! We moved from there a few years ago, and boy do I miss it!
I especially love all of the galvanized metal pieces and blue jars! And the weather--jealous! :)

    Have a great day.
