Vintage WallPaper Covered Books

Ok, I confess it's not really books, and not really vintage wallpaper.

This was actually one of those book boxes....Tell me I fooled you for just a second!

These where pretty popular at one time.

I see them from time to time at the thrift stores and always snap them up.  They're really fun to transform.

Graphics Fairy has a great selection of vintage wallpaper graphics.  I printed off four different styles.

Then Mod Podged the sheets on

I printed some French book titles on labels, also from Graphics Fairy, and Mod Podged them over the "Wallpaper".

I put these "Books" in my booth at Orange Tree and price them at $24

This was a fun and easy little project.

Don't pass these book boxes up when you see them, you could alter them anyway you like to fit your taste and style

Happy Creating!
Carol

  15. I've never seen a box like that-- but I have something similar that looks like encyclopedias but it is hollow and it holds magazines or manuals... same principle!
    They are ugly purple too!

    I like yours.
I wanted to say thanks for your kind words and prayers for my husband and myself and for stopping in at Corn!

I have collections of wall paper border that I have picked up at yard sales and flea markets over the years because I loved the patterns but did not have enough or anywhere to put them in my home. This is a great idea to cover actual books and then embellish them!!

Thanks once again for some great inspiration!!
