Yes! My Garage sale find A patriotic rose plate for all of us who are in love with all things roses, romantic and shabby.
This is the American's Creed
Now, I will be honest with you, I didn't know there was an American Creed. Hum, this blonde must have slept through that class! Am I the only one?
The Creed is wonderful!
I love the USA!
Ok, a little pricey for a garage sale, but who can put a price on patriotism!
Beautiful gold edge and flowers!
The important part is what it say's. I love the last paragraph.
I therefore believe it is my duty to my
country to love it, to support its constitution,
to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to
defend it against it's enemies.
Thank you to all you Moms who have children in the military. We know you wring your hands and worry everyday about your precious children. Please tell them Thank You for allowing us our freedom!
Happy 4th of July!
Carol
I am linking up with Debbie Doo's Garage Salen Partay
Great find and I think due to the uniqueness of the plate it was a deal for $3. By the way Jo Annes Fabric's have transfer sheets in packages that you can use for quilts or anything, just remember to reverse the image as in mirroring image, follow the instructions on the pkg and then iron on the image to your fabric, I never had any problem with fading or color change. The fabric you transfer it to should be 100% cotton and the higher the thread count the clearer the transfer. I used wax paper to ron over to prevent any sticking.
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol...my baby is out now but gee, I still worry :)) Hope you have a happy and blessed 4th.

ReplyDeleteCarol, that is such a cool plate! I don't remember that creed. Not saying I never read it before, I just don't remember. Things don't stay in the memory bank like they should. ;-) I would have paid $3 for it; it's really worth it. You got yourself a gem!

Hi Carol, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. What a great plate...but where's the polka dots? Thanks for your visit and sweet comment on my son's home. The house is in Richmond, Va.

Hi Carol, Thank you so much for sharing the plate and especially for sharing the sentiment on it. I must have slept through that part of history class too, although I believe it is one of those important ideals that have slipped through the cracks of history. Am sharing it with my friends on Facebook. Thank you again!
