Adding vintage bling to the ordinary makes it extraordinary.
I look for the ordinary object and decide how to enhance it
Now we all know I love crystals, but they just can't go on everything!
So, I go to my boxes of vintage bling
And find the perfect piece
And attach it with E-6000
Taking an ordinary power jar
Spraying it with heirloom white paint
A light sanding
And it is ready to go in my booth at
I think I priced these around $14.00 each
I am a girl that loves bling and hate to sell them!
Give us some more ideas
What have you blinged up!!

Oh, gosh Carol...those are so neat! I love the jar especially. And I'm super envious of all your vintage bling you have on hand!!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I've blinged up is a dress I'm wearing tonite. It's only a year or two old, but when I had it dry cleaned it came back without some of the bling on the broach attached to the bodice. Didn't notice that until just recently! Since I couldn't find a suitable broach to substitute, I simply glued on some blingy jewels I had and you can't tell the diff!

Carol darlin' you will LOVE this... I just got two of those letter holders and I have that powder jar....now I was gonna paint the letter holders white but NOT the powder jar ... so seee we are a bit different :)) :)) :))

Your powder jar is so pretty with its bling!! I absolutely love the letter holders. The could be used to hold napkins as well!
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet little makeovers with the bling added. It gives me some great ideas. What kind of paint are you using on the brass and silver? I would guess it is spray paint.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol!
ReplyDeleteHow in the world do you come up with all of your wonderful ideas for your booth!!!! I love how you added the bling to the towel holder and that sweet little dresser jar now has lots of pizzaz!
I would sure like to have your stash of bling.
Wow, lot's of collecting there.
How's the little table doing? Mine is still hanging around.

Carol, I am *so* digging the blingage! Your projects look extra special!
ReplyDeleteI just love the transformation you give to the pieces you sell. Too bad I am not in Florida. Your boxes of jewels are just over the moon. Happy selling...
ReplyDeleteJust Love it!! You are so Inspiring Carol, I have one of those Jars in my glass jar stash. It would look so cool on my New Vanity. Thanks my dear for sharing another wonderful idea!!

Good morning Carol! Love the touch of vintage bling. It really gives lots of things new life! That would even make a nice touch to napkin rings, with some floral shabby napkins, oh how cute that would be. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy problem is that a piece of jewelry has to be *seriously* broken before it goes in the box instead of me wearing it!
HELLO CAROL~OH WOW!! I LOVE THE THESE TURNED OUT :) I TOO AM A BLING KIND OF GIRL :)
ReplyDeleteXO~MARI
Thanks for more great ideas! No spray painting today...UGH!!! Can't wait to get away for a few days!
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
deb
Carol, these turned out great! Oh my do you have some bling stored away. Just gorgeous. I actually had better luck at Renningers this time for hardware, linens and smalls. In November though, I did better on old books, vintage jewelry and some housewares. Funny. The weather was amazing here this weekend! I'm putting you on my blog roll so we can better stay in touch. Take care! Can't wait to see what you found.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, love the added jewels, they really make the pieces!
ReplyDeleteLove your "bling"! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! You really transformed these pieces, I bet they'll fly out of your booth! So pretty!!
ReplyDeletehi carol! thanks for your sweet comment about chloe. she was a unique part of our family for sure.

Very nice projects Carol! Your bling stash is fab ~ I wish! It's so hard to find nice costume jewelry around here at a decent price. It all seems so expensive. You've done a nice job of collecting it all! ~Stacy~ (*_*)
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty. You are very creative. ~~Sherry~~
ReplyDeleteHa! And I thought I had a lot of bling waiting to be used...but you topped me big time. I really don't bling anything right now except my journals and necklaces. The neck pieces I am working on for the booth. I am thinking I may do some of the Christmas window lights you blinged, later on in the summer. Depends on if I can find lots of them at yard sales. Oh wow...so much to do...so little time. I have been a painting fool this past weekend and want to make some t-shirts with butterflies for the grand-girls later on this week. Can I get it all done...??? that is the $64,000.00 question. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou have quite the bling collection! I love the unique way you've decided to use your pieces, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHey, Carol. Email me when you get a chance. Shelley at Sweet Pea Home wants to get some Central Florida bloggers together for lunch.
ReplyDeleteI haven't blinged a noteworthy thing, but I have a few ideas running through my head right now...
ReplyDeleteI love that jar that you painted the heirloom white.
I love what you've done with these pieces. I passed some of the same ones up before because I couldn't imagine what to do with them. Great ideas here!
ReplyDeleteLove bling and Heirloom White. One can never go wrong, girlfriend :::winks:::
ReplyDeleteYOU are amazing and so creative.
Question for you....what is the largest piece of furniture you spray painted with Heirloom?
P.S. Going for my weigh in tomorrow.
xo
