I was lucky enough to find a bag of empty vintage sachets for .50 at the thrift store.
My fun little project was to fill, decorate, and package them for my booth at Orange Tree
Some of the sachets were just lace pouches, if these sell it will be easy to sew more pouches using vintage lace.
I dressed them up with ribbons, flowers, and buttons, then filled them with lavender and vanilla sachet.
The antique mall I'm in does not allow sachets since so many people are sensitive to smells. This meant I had to package them in ziplock bags. I added a header to make them more attractive.
Since the sachets were filled with lavender I really wanted lavender in the label. This was the only lavender graphics I could find at Graphics Fairy.
OK, not spectacular, but it worked.
I priced them at $4.00 and $5.00.
Has any one ever sold sachets in their booths?
I put them in my dolled up glove boxes from my last post and put them in my booth.

Happy Creating!

Carol, what a great idea and I love how you have packaged them. Where to you get the lavender and vanilla? I have to tell you, I was out of town over the weekend visiting my family and went to some antique stores and found 2 sewing machine drawers. You know they came home with me. Can't wait to fix them up.
ReplyDeleteFortunately there isn't any prohibition where my little space is and I do sell sachets as well as dried lavender etc. Those sachets were a great find ! I make some out of wide lace ribbon and other wide ribbons.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, Carol :)
