I'm in love with vintage bottles...Along with wedding dresses, fabric, lace, buttons, etc. etc.
I picked up a box of bottles at auction
And added water slide decals on these seltzer bottles with graphics from Graphics Fairy
While the water slide decal was still wet I rubbed it to take some of the writing off, I love the translucent effect I get from the water slide decals
I'm thinking these look 100 years old...OK, Maybe 20 years old
I kept one to put in my linen cupboard
and put the other two in my booth at Orange Tree
So, what's your weakness?? fabric,lace,bottles,buttons.........
Happy Creating!
They're gorgeous! I still have it on my "to do" list to try the water slide decals. What's my weakness? Everything: buttons, lace, chippy paint, etc, etc. I need to focus!!

My weakness? All the above plus a whole lot more. I am all time saving the Graphic Fairy's pictures and have put them on iron-on paper. Where do you get the slide ons? You do a great job.

I still haven't tried the waterslide decals. Every time I see a project you've used them on I add it to my "to do" list. What is my weakness? It depends on what day it is. I have always had a love of things with bird or tree images on them. You are so talented! Keep inspiring us.
ReplyDeleteCarrie
The waterslide decals are new to me, and they turned out fabulous on your bottles. I collect plants!
ReplyDeleteOh Carol, these bottles are so pretty. I have never used water slide decals before. I will have to look into them. My weakness, definitely fabric! Back in my younger years I worked as a manager for several JoAnn stores and that weakness ended up with me spending most of my paycheck right back to the store!LOL
ReplyDeleteThe bottles look great!
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage seltzer bottles too.
:) pop over and say hi if you get a sec.
Happy holiday blessing to you and yours.

Your 100 year old looking bottles are wonderful, Carol. Rubbing off some of the decal really did make them look old and well used. Your linen cabinet is really pretty. Shannon

They are so beautiful! I love how they look a little chippy and faded!
ReplyDeleteJennelise
Oh Carol, I have SO many weaknesses! I'll share a few. Vintage chippy architectural pieces, windows, doors, and old toys. I could go on all night but I'll stop. lol! I love these bottles. I'm thinking more like 150 years old. I have not tried labels like that. Not sure how they work, but I just love the look. Also like that you rubbed a bit off. I can't believe that you can find wonderful bottles like that.
ReplyDeleteWow,I love your bottles!! They look fabulous.

ReplyDeleteHi Carol, Great idea rubbing some of the lettering off while still wet. The bottles look fabulous and I'm sure will be snapped up quickly. The countdown is on....with just 7 days 'til Christmas. I still have a day of shopping left to do this week. The boys won't be home this year but we will still have a big family gathering at my house. Really looking forward to it. So happy that your son is coming home for a special holiday with you. xoxo
