A Laundry Sign

When I found this sign I knew it would be perfect......For Something.  It hung around my garage for a while until the light bulb went off.......A Laundry Sign!

Not that I don't like country.......but, well OK, I admit, I don't like country!

I used Heirloom white paint and a water slide decal made with a frame from Graphics Fairy that I added flowers and lettering to.

I did a little sanding to see the original blue paint

Now, I would hang this is in my laundry room......If I had one!  Since we don't have basements in Florida most of the older homes (Like mine) have the washer/dryer in the garage.

I think I'll be bringing this cutie to the Fancy Flea, the show I am going to be a vendor at April 28th in Lakeland, Florida.  My friend has a 32 ft. trailer, and we have 2 spaces, so I am bringing a lot of merchandise.  Whatever I don't sell at the Flea I will take to my booth at Orange Tree.

Happy Creating!
Carol

  18. This looks sooo much better than the original. That sign is a form of country decor I used to refer to as cutesy...never my style. You certainly have a creative vision. Best wishes for trip to the Fancy Flea.

  27. UGH. I guarantee that I had some old country signs from the 80s that I have gotten rid of over the years. I wish I still had them because your makeover looks great.

My laundry sign should say, "HOT MESS" since it's also where I keep my crafts. I'm working on a better plan.

  32. Wish I could visit you! Simply gorgeous! I'm so glad you have a good market for your things. In Central Virginia, people seem to be a little tighter and you have to be at the right place at the right time to sell your creative pretties! Adorable! Laura
