Water Slide Decal Pictures

I love finding new ways to use water slide decals......This time it was pictures

I already use decals on soap, candles, glass, and furniture.  The full water slide decal tutorial is HERE

I found some great frames and sprayed them with Rust-Oleum Heirloom white, then gave them a little sanding.

I used a vintage table cloth and spray adhesive to cover the backing boards

Then slide the decals onto the BACK of the glass.  The graphics are from Graphics Fairy

For decals with words, you will have to reverse the image

I love how they turned out and they sold immediately in my booth at Orange Tree

This was a really easy project.......Now I'm on the look out for more cute little frames.

Happy Creating!
Carol

  5. I'm with Nana-Diana,... I don't know what a water slide decal is either.
I hear people talking about them and I've seen you use them...they are pretty...But, I'm ignorant of how they work...or where to get them!

I like the new look on your blog, and will grab your new button. I have to say that I miss your blog roll though. I liked to come and visit one of the blogs you follow or two every time I visit. So I miss that.

  9. Great idea! I love it. I bought some water slide paper on ebay and it just had no sticky. It didn't work well like what I got from you. They gave me my money back but now I have to find a better brand. I want to try this project!

  14. I love this idea! The possibilities are endless since the background is fabric. A person could match up fabric used in the room to accent! OMG...creative overload! I am so glad you have a creative mind and can think of all this stuff for us who have issues when thinking "outside the box"! Thank you!

  15. Carol,

I really like the way these look on the glass. The water slide decals have always intimidated me and the paper is so expensive! It really is a great look, though :)

  17. Carol,
    Tooooo cute! Love them!
I just used that same peachy pink "frame" graphic (from The Graphics Fairy) to create a custom banner for a client. I love working with vintage graphics! I enjoy my visits here and can't wait to see what's next.
    Will visit again soon.

  36. I love these! Seriously do you ever sleep?! I don't know how you make everything you do and post almost daily! You are amazing! I had ordered some water slide decals awhile back ~ so they are waiting for a project. I think this will be my first :-) This post came at a perfect time.

Today my daughters and I are going thrifting. So I will be on the lookout for cute frames and vintage table tablecloths/fabric, maybe I will just buy some pretty fabric from a fabric store. Ps. Thank you for always leaving a sweet comment, and I don't really mind the heat. Plus I love working in my yard (it's therapy for me). I would rather be hot than cold any day... XoXo
