I just got back from spending a few days in St Augustine Florida and wanted to share pictures from an amazing boutique with incredible merchandise display ideas!
All of the tables were pallets on saw horses. Vintage wall paper was used on some of the pallets boards and then bricks painted white and fabulous old drawers.
All of the necklaces were hung on old bottles
I'm not sure what these old buckets were, they looked like some kind of strainers? You can see the saw horses that held the pallets in this shot
There was tons of old books cut out in letters and numbers......So clever!
This was the front window with an old wash basin
Another wash basin for display inside
Vintage thread spools displayed the watches and bracelets. Crates and more bottles displaying necklaces.
Another pallet and look...The jewelry was on squares of wood covered in burlap
Everything in this boutique was eye candy and the displays were amazing! The store was right on the main shopping street

Oh- What fun!!! Do you know I want to retire to St.Augustine? It has been in my mind since I was 21 and visited there...and hasn't changed- xo Diana
It is true about the presentation...just like a resume of years past when you had just a few seconds to get the attention you desired. Great ideas here. Thank you for sharing these. Blissful Merchandising...
Awesome place! I love St. Augustine. So much history there.
I love all these ideas especially the earring cards in the little cubbies.
Great display ideas...I really like the idea of wallpapering the pallets. I have a couple of old saw horses, now I just need to get my hands on a pallet.

You're right, Carol. Fabulous displays and total eye candy.
I've been to this store! Love it!
Love the display ideas--really like those white painted bricks. That would look nice for displays in my house!
Carol, thank you for sharing this wonderful shop's displays! They are fantastic. I love the use of the saw horses and pallet wood for tables and the bottles for necklace holders is great. The buckets are olive buckets and they are a hot item right now.
thank you for sharing.

Lots of fun ideas I haven't seen before! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, I felt sad for you about the camera... but I got over it real fast and looked at all these magandang (Filipino; "beautiful") images! Bricks?! Pallets?! Hospital wash basins?! OH, my goodness. And the green, green, green just fed my eyes... and my I's! OH YEAH!
Thanks, Carol!

P.S. Still having fun in the Wreck'reation Station, but it's slow-going. HA! You know me!
Wow, that' some clever thinking there! I have tons of those big old glass bottles stashed in a barn on our property - I'll have to use them a necklace displays now. :)
Love St. Augustine, we used to go all the time when we lived in FL. I just can't get enough of the place.
Oh - the buckets you wondered about are olive buckets, I believe. I know of someone who makes light fixtures out of them and they said they're olive buckets. But I suppose they could really be for anything...
Debbie makes note to self: Look for old necked out bottles on which to hang necklaces. That is a super idea and is applicable for home use, too.
Also love those books.
And I think her creativity is amazing and inspirational.
Makes you want to enter and buy "as it is"... so in love with pallet painted with roses (looks like an ongoing prokect) on the second picture.
And that last pic - another winner pallet.
Must give a lots of pleasure to work in such store.
Thank you for sharing,
Teresa
How creative! Everything looks great!
Hi Carol, I love seeing how creative some women get with there displays. This gal was certainly thinking outside the box. Fabulous ideas and so very green minded . . . and pretty, too. Thank your friend again for me . . . I'm so glad she had a camera with her :)
In regard to the comment you left:
I couldn't remember where I had seen one of these tea cup chandeliers and thought that it might have been on your blog . . . guess not :) I can not wait to see yours, when you find the right chandelier and decide to make one. I thought about adding some of your lovely ribbon flowers to it, but because it was going outside, I wanted to keep it simple. The porch gets dustier than the house, being easy to clean is essential. Well, it is always fun to see your pretty face on my list of comments, thanks for another lovely visit, Connie :)
Carol, Wow what ideas for display, I bet it was so cool in person sure glad your friend had her camera hope you had a lovely trip~ Hugs, Diane
What great ideas! The olive buckets are very popular now. I've seen them on decorsteals.com. Daily deals website that is all vintage and cool. I'm now thinking with nostalgia about all the pallets we threw out!!! Oh, well. I'll wallpaper something else.
Great displays for the jewelry. Love the book numbers. Olive buckets are so chic now.
I bet you had a wonderful time.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
love the wallpaper on the pallet boards and how cute are the painted bricks and drawers? tfs, carol:)
Carol, soon after I read your post this morning, the very next blog I read had one of those buckets and they called it an olive bucket. Funny, I then saw one in an antique shop today. Never noticed them before. You are educating me!
I love the way she has put wall paper on the old pallets. Great way of recycling. Nancy http://cozythymecottage.blogspot.com/
