Here's a few projects I did for the antique store window display from my last post
First up a little curio cabinet
This little darling started life like this
I gave it a coat of chalk paint, added a couple homemade plaster flowers (tutorial HERE), used clear and dark wax and lined it with dollar store paper. Then I put a water slide decal (tutorial HERE) on the back side of the door with a graphic from Graphics Fairy. I priced this curio at $32.00
The curio cabinet is sitting on a vintage farm stool that I stenciled with a Paris graphic and is also priced at $32.00
And this little storage stool got a transformation too
I did a couple coats of chalk paint followed by clear and dark wax. Then upholstered in a tan fabric that I stamped with my vintage stamp set
Goodness, I priced this stool at $32.00 also. Now you know what $32.00 will buy you in my booth......Everything lol!
I still have a couple more store window projects to show you....Stay tuned!
Happy Creating
Carol
You always know how to add the special touches to make something one of a kind...and perfect! I love looking in the windows. Wish I lived closer...I'd be shopping inside! Sweet hugs! Stay cool!
ReplyDeletelooks wonderful to me!!! I love each piece, you do such great work, magic!

$32 is a magical price and should result in very quick sales. The window looks very high end. Any feedback from the owner? Love your transformations dear...
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL pieces!!!! I love them all-especially that little cabinet. Your prices are GREAT! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOUR WINDOW!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to have a larger booth when they expand!?
Warmly,
deb
Every time I see your stamped and printed stuff, I want to do it. I just have yet to try. I love that little upholstered piece the best of all, but I really think it all looks wonderful.
ReplyDelete(Because I really DO love stuff painted white, you know...!)
Oh my gosh, Carol, that last photo of the window is stunning! It looks like a high end boutique store, very pretty.

I sure like the window display!
ReplyDeleteI like your curio cabinet and remade stool. You have certainly been busy and accomplishing a lot! Lookin' good! Nancy
ReplyDeleteThe window looks fabulous! Very eye-catching!! Great projects too.
ReplyDeleteJane
They are all lovely pieces Carol. You do beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI picked up that paper at the Dollar Tree and then thought why do I need this and put it back down. Dangit!! It is perfect in that little cabinet.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative. What a wonderful window display, love seeing a bit of the how you created...
ReplyDeleteImagine being the only (shabby vendor) type of vendor in a mall. In the mall I sell in a lot of 'very similar' is the way things are. It is always a challenge to price right and find something that is 'fresh, collectibles, vintage, mid century, shabby etc.

$32 is way too cheap for that cabinet! You should price it up!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!
Erica :)
Wonderful ! Love your creations. May I tell you something ? If you want to make really French you have to write rue de PARIS. Explanation when you want to write a French town name always put de before. Like rue de Cannes, rue de Deauville. Don't hesitate to ask me if you want to write something.

oh yeah....I would be stopping to look at that window in a New York minute and then rushing into the store! Love the flowers too Carol. :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that store window, just perfect! Like the footstool in particular. I have one in the basement that looks just like the before-picture...hm...
ReplyDeleteThat is just super cute! I don't know where you get all of your creative ideas, but you always seem to know just what a piece is needing. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou may have started a new career, window displays! So very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI really love all of your projects. The graphics you used are perfect!! Beautiful job.

I'm pretty excited to see this cabinet makeover. Why? There is one almost exactly like it in my hubby's trunk (except mine has a mirror instead of glass) that someone gave him because they thought I'd like to as they put it "mess around with it and make it pretty". Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBet that's the pretties window they ever did have..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always Carol.
