Altered Jean Jackets For The Fancy Flea

Remember when I did this altered slip and jean jacket post?  Your response was so positive that it inspired me to make more to sell at the Fancy Flea in Plant City, Florida on Saturday.  I so appreciate your input into my projects, I always use your responses as a gauge to see if I am on the right track...Thank you!

I wear the longer jackets.....Now, I'm very conscious of "Dressing my age" but, when I wear these longer jackets I don't feel like I'm an old lady trying to dress like a "Hipster" ......You know what I mean?

Here is some long and short ones I've made to bring to the Fancy Flea

The girls wanted to go outside to get their pictures taken.....No fall colors yet here in Orlando

I like wearing these jackets because they are not "Over the top", I wear mine with black skinny jeans (I'm not skinny, just the jeans are!)

I will also be bringing some altered vintage slip tops to the Flea

I'm pricing these jackets at $48.00 and will have all sizes S-M-L-XL-XXL-1X   at the Fancy Flea.  I always like to have larger sizes....Just because a person is "Fluffy" doesn't mean they can't wear fun clothes!

Don't forget to come by here on Friday, I am having one whopper of a giveaway for all of my friends that can't make it to the Fancy Flea!

Happy Creating!

Carol

  2. I have honestly never worn a jean jacket. Your lace and pretty add-ons to the jackets would truly make me wear one! I love the ones with the longer lace. So pretty! I like your style. I lol'd about the skinny jean/not being skinny comment. Have a great week! p.s. I'm excited to see what you'll be doing for your giveaway. ~ Jamie

  3. You are so creative. I have many pillow cases from my grandmother that she had crocheted the trim. Now I have so many ideas what to do with them!

  4. Yes so nice ! I buy most part of my clothes on flea markets, and I remodel them just like you do with ruffles and lace and it's so pretty and romantic. In the street I'm always asked where I buy my clothes ! Often girls tell me it's so nice, but I wouldn't dare to wear that (shabby clothes with lace ruffle and hats and always in natural colors, powder pink) It's so important to wear what we like; I agree with you that our clothes must not be too tight (I add like Coco channel and too short when we are more than 40 !) I add also lace and ruffles to velvet jackets and it's so feminine !

  6. LOVE 'em ! I do wear the shorter ones because I'm short. Always love a little embellishment, esp with vintage laces. And thanks for having sizes for us "fluffies" (())

  18. Hi Carol- I love your jackets. I live in So. Calif. and have had jackets like these for 20 years. There is a boutique that specializes in 1 of a kind clothing, but, they are very expensive. Your jackets would sell for 180. dollars. I bought denim jackets at Goodwil or the thrift store and added fancy black lace to it and another other with white and beige. I still wear them.
I think yours are lovely. Best wishes with your sales, Blessings Paula

  19. These are so cute! Have you sold any at your store yet? I just had my Blog updated so soon I will be posting again, but believe me nothing there will ever be as nice or as interesting as what is seen here!! I am going to start with a Give Away this week end too. But I need to win a Mannequin(hint, hint) until I start making money at the New store then I can buy them and take Orders for you. At least that is the plan. I think you are going to be the Spot to buy at this week end!!

  42. You are so funny. I love that you consider the fluffy folks too. I agree totally. We all need to wear fun clothes, otherwise, what is the point? Young or old, we need to have fun, and now that I know your day at the Fancy Flea could have been more fun, I bet these great jackets will sell at the shop.
