Kitchen Remodeling....All Of The Decisions!

Decisions, Decisions...So many kitchen remodel decisions!

Choose a counter top....Choose a backsplash....

Choose a cabinet style

......Choose a sink and faucet.....

Knobs or handles...Which handles....

.....Which knobs......And which way to have the doors open.......Do I want glass doors?

....Lighting.....

What do you want in the cabinets....Spice rack...Lazy susan?

...Appliances...Keep the old ones or get new ones...

Well...I am almost to the end of all my decision making and I'm so happy with how it is all turning out.  There is not one thing I would change.

I'm in the process of doing the backsplash myself...A great way to save money and not a difficult Do it Yourself job!

One of my readers said "It must be fun doing projects for yourself"  ....It is!!

Happy Creating
Carol

  1. Oh your kitchen is really coming along nicely. Kudos to you for doing part of the work yourself. Thanksgiving dinner at Carol's this year???

  2. I'm sure it will be beautiful. I always avoid using knobs on the lower cabinets because I always catch my pockets on the knobs and end up whipping open the drawer. The joys of being short!!

  3. Your new kitchen will be very lovely I am sure! I think decisions are always difficult to make. Sounds like you are happy with your choices. Nancy

  4. I know how you feel it can be totally overwhelming. I always think about people who actually build their own house, and have to pick everything from the switch plates to the lighting to the floors, it's really never ending. I had trouble just picking stuff for our remodeled basement and bathroom. So glad to hear that you are happy with it all, that's the goal, isn't it?
Handy girl you are, doing the backsplash yourself!

  8. One of the hardest places to remodel in a home is the kitchen. No matter if you are starting from scratch or remaking. Can't wait to see yours.

  17. Carol, I cannot wait to see it all done! So exciting!! Have you ever seen what Holly over at Down To Earth Style did for her own DIY back splash? She did it with spackle and paint and I hope to one day be able to replicate it myself. So cool! Have a good night! ~ Jamie
