I made some cute small fabric flower bouquets
I recently showed you the large fabric flower bouquet I made for my future daughter in law. Since she is in DC and her wedding dress is in Florida we are not sure yet if she will use it in her wedding until we can see the bouquet with the dress.
The complete tutorial on making this bouquet is HERE
I love it and have it in a vase on my entrance table
So, when one of my fellow vendors at the antique mall had 25 small bouquet holders for sale at a fabulous price, well......I had to have them!
I started by making up a ton of flowers, I leave the petals separate until I am ready to make the flowers
The Fabric flower tutorial is HERE
Crazy lady...I know....But, once I start making the flowers I can't stop, it's so fun!
I wrapped the styrofoam in fabric and then hot glued it on the holder, once again the bouquet handle was made from a vintage hanger. The base of the holder will be wrapped with ribbon
Now I pin my flowers on for placement and then hot glue them in place
The center of each flower has a vintage pearl or vintage pearl button
Here they are with the big bridal bouquet...........Excuse me a minute while I talk to my future DIL (She reads my blog) Alicia, if you end up carrying the big bouquet, the small ones could work for the bridesmaids .......Just throwing the idea out there (As a MIL it is always good to just throw ideas out, never say "You should" or any such words!)
Sorry, where was I.....
.
....I think these are so over the top romantic I can't stand it! They look gorgeous sitting in a vase....
.....Or laying on a shelf or dresser tray.
I was thinking of making a few for the Fancy Flea since the show is just before Mothers Day
The Fancy Flea is a show I'm going to be a vendor at, April 28th in Lakeland Florida
What would you price these at? If this was your cup of tea, something you really liked, and you were going to buy one at a show, what you pay? Throw it out there, you can't hurt my feelings!
Thanks for your help, you guys are great!
Happy Creating
Carol
these are SO gorgeous, carol!! i just love the vintage buttons in the centers! we paid $50 per bouquet--and they weren't this beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteNo suggestions on a price, but I'm sure they will sell well since they are so pretty and have such a romantic flair. I made a standing bouquet for my niece's shower and now have the desire to make more. Thanks for sharing yours...I'm ready to try my hand at these.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol,
ReplyDeleteSwooooooon..............
These are beautiful and yes, so romantic.
I would sell them in your booth anywhere from $25 to $30. I'm sure that people pay a lot more than that for wedding bouquets ready made.
Love how you save the petals. Just the container of petals would make me happy.
hugs
Sissie
They are definitely my cup of tea, and I think they're really romantic looking. As for price, I haven't a clue because I'm a horrible pricer.
ReplyDeleteI'm picturing your future DIL's dress in my head. If it's the kind that would complement that bouquet, I'm positive I would LOVE it.
Are they getting married in DC or her own home area?
These are over the top romantic. My Mom made one for my sissies big day. She used mostly vintage broaches. She saw the idea on pinterest. They were very expensive. Not sure what I would price them out Carol. Depends on the time, which I am guessing they took some time. Not sure, may $40.00 a piece..perhaps more. I am not good with this stuff. They are super pretty though.
ReplyDeleteOh those are beautiful Carol. My niece is getting married in October & I tried to convince her to go with a brooch bouquet, but she won't bite! Maybe I could convince her with your beauties!
ReplyDeleteAs far as price goes, I haven't a clue!
Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteWOW! Gorgeous bridal bouquets you have made. The small bridal bouquet would be great priced at between $20-$25 and the larger one doubled. I'm just throwing it out there. :)
Dee
So very pretty! Love the button centers :) Laurel
ReplyDeleteThese are soooo pretty,Carol. I have no idea what shoppers in that area would pay but I'm sure you will have no trouble selling them. The soft colors are beautiful and look so romantic. ---------Shannon
ReplyDeleteI like this little bouquet. They are so lovely. It is really perfectly fit to the bride.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Carol! I love the bling you added to the middle of the flowers. I'd probably go $20-25 for the large and maybe $15.00 for the small, but I'm frugal! : ) So, I could be totally off here. Also, I'm one of those people that when you look at things, if they are too high priced, I know I can try doing it myself.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I think I might prefer one of thse over a real flower boquet. It would last a lot longer and would make a lovely keepsake - and it could be incorporated in your children's weddings. Even if it was just used on a gift table or something - it could be used. I love heirloom items!
ReplyDeleteUmmm...I'd get married again to be able to carry one of those lovlies! I told my daughter she could have another wedding this summer so we could plan another party and she just suggested we do an anniversary party instead!! She is so sensible and even mentioned that we could use all the decorations and other stuff we didn't use last July. Then said they'd renew their vows in maybe 10 years!♥♫
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning and the perfect color for me! I just love how they turned out.
ReplyDeleteThese would be beautiful anywhere as display pieces and so wonderful for bridesmaids.
How wonderful to have someone to create these for...can't wait to see what your DIL chooses.
Carol- I have never seen anything like these anywhere. I hope your future dil can use them...but if not you can just enjoy them. They are gorgeous. I am going to come back and check out those tutorials when I have the time. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteCarol, with my daughter having a bridal blog here in Ottawa, Canada, I know for a fact that these pretties would most definitely go for over $30.00 easily.
ReplyDeleteLOVE them.
xoxoxoxo
very unique, Carol! Love them - a great throw bouquet. If I were to sell them here, I think $25 -$30 but that's our market here.
ReplyDeleteKeep us in the loop on how they sell! So pretty and romantic.
Bonnie
Questi bouqet sono meravigliosi.... Hanno un'aria così romantica. Brava Carol.
ReplyDeleteUn abbraccio Simo
so so sew pretty Carol.....xo
ReplyDeleteThey would be perfect for a special wedding anniversary...
ReplyDeleteI would not mind if someone gave me one for our upcoming 60th wedding anniversary.
Sweet & Romantic is my 'cup of tea'.
Joyfully,
~Sylvia Faye
Seriously beautiful! At a bridal show those would probably go for $40 and up, but at the fancy flea I don't know. If you were taking orders, I would make small Mothers Day samples around a large Bridal for show one, and sell them at a small price like $20 dollars. But that is just my way of thinking! It is a little hard to judge the actual size by your photos. At any rate, they are so very lovely. I actually saw some flower bouquets in Etsy for $80-180 ! Yours are much lovelier!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Susie
Love them, Carol! Just an idea but have you considered doing a complete bridal set with flowers for the moms and grandmoms, bouts, attendent and bridal flowers? It might not go at the Fancy Flea but maybe for a vintage bride at your shop. I can't really say for the FF because I've not been yet but I think you know your market pretty well : )
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning! How could she NOT want to carry this beautiful creation and use the smaller ones for her bridesmaids. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCarol, those are all so beautiful. Love them.
ReplyDeleteStunners!!!! I cant get over how wonderful these are! :D I have no idea on pricing, I'd say 20-30$? Depending on the material and pins used, I'd guess. :) These are just so beautiful I keep going over to peek back!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Thank you so much for posting this--it is so beautiful I want to make it! Love them. I would say the $20 range--but it is kind of hard to see how big they are. They are beautiful! I pinned it so I can make myself one later:) Thank you again for the tutorial--
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You are so talented. I wouldn't have any idea about the cost...I'm sure you will receive many suggestions.

Your french desk it awesome!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the flowers. Beautiful! I wish my daughter would like something like that. They remind me of peonies!!! Have no idea about price for them and if they would sell at the Flea!
Not many days until the FLEA!!!
Warmly,
deb
Gorgeous!!! Love these!
ReplyDeleteCarol - you are so talented!!!
-pamela :)
These are just gorgeous! I think $20-$30 is good. I would buy one of those in a heart beat! Your daughter in law is so lucky! I would so love them at my wedding!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Dear Creative One:
ReplyDeleteThese are swoon-worthy. I couldn't even begin to guess what to sell them for. Stunning!!! Wish I could go to the flea with you! I finally got around to posting about your fab decals, so when you get a chance, visit moi!
xo
Roselle
Carol, these are gorgeous! I must try making these flowers soon. They are irresistible.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol,
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely stunning! I wouldn't know why any bride wouldn't be interested in using these instead of fresh flowers.
You have such wonderful ideas! I know your soon-to-be DIL loves them all!
Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous! That is a lot of flower singe-ing, I can't tell exactly how many you used per bouquet but I'd guess at least 5. I'd say at least $30. If you did those as a clip or pin you'd have $8-$12 on each flower! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSpeechless! Just so darn glad to be able to sit and peruse through your Blog my dear Friend and can't waint to see all the talent and beauty I have missed this past month!!
ReplyDeleteHuggs, Nancy

ReplyDeleteLovely boquet's , Carol.
ReplyDeleteYour bouquets are gorgeously divine. Such a lucky DIL (future) to be part of you and your creative bliss. I wouldn't begin to suggest a price however I think you may be very busy if you show these at FF or your booth. Custom orders should command a higher price due to whims and whines of custom orders. If only I could be in Lakeland FL for your FF. I do hope you take some photos of your sale display you set up at FF. Creative Bliss Dear...
ReplyDeleteCarol, these are gorgeous! I am going to have to check out the tutorial. My son is remarrying in several weeks. My daughter and I have committed to do her bouquet. This is so lovely and would be something to last.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Ginger
When you did the tutorial, I was just floored at how beautiful these flowers are. If I were your DIL I would love to use them. Paula Lusk
ReplyDeleteI loooooved your blog we have the same tastes in decor :) I am following you,I hope you follow me back too =)

ReplyDeleteCarol those are stunning!!! Oh my gosh they are gorgeous gorgeous!! I love how ruffly they are!!
ReplyDeleteThese are simply stunning. I would ask at least $25-30! They are so pretty and bridal shops charge double. You may start a business for these alone! I so wish I had your talent!
ReplyDeleteHugs Anne
Wonderful! It takes me forever to do petals, not to mention finishing flowers! You must put in long hours or be super quick! Love, Laura
ReplyDeleteYep, over the top romantic!! I haven't looked at your tutorial but I know that creating each petal takes time...even if it is fun ;). I would say at least $30 to $50 depending on the size. Curious to know how they sell and for how much. You will tell us, won't you?
ReplyDeleteOkay, after going back to look at them, they look to be small bouquets..so I'd say $25 for the smaller ones and maybe $40 for the larger ones. That's my final offer! :D
ReplyDeleteDo you have any more sons I could marry to? I'd love to be your DIL with all your ideas, vintage craves, and all the lovely things you make that show you care and that I love.
ReplyDeleteLots of warm wishes all the way from Spain :-)
CRISTINA
Hello Carol,
ReplyDeleteI just love, love, love your bouquets! If you search on Etsy, you will be surprised to know that the prices for this kind of bouquet ranges from $200.00 to $350.00 depending on the size, amounts of flowers, and/or brooches you use. The small version goes from $85.00 to $175.00, again, depending on the volume of items in it. If the bouquet is made of just brooches, then the price starts at $450.00 up to $850.00! With the quality of yours, I'm sure a serious buyer who's looking for that kind of heirloom bouquet would be willing to paid between $185.00 to $225.00 for it. So, hope to see more of these beauties made by you out there! Excellent job! ;-)
I have made these fabulous bouquets for my wedding as well. I instead went with peonie fabric flowers but I am in the process of gluing everything on!! LOL. I used cameo resins in the centers and some pearl and colored gems to add dimension. I would love to send a pic to you!!
