I have Soooo many vintage buttons that I have decided to sell some at the Polka Dot Flea
I had an old wooden box that I painted and lined with pattern paper then glued on a few graphics with the price
I don't know why but......I love buttons!
I hope the Polka Dot Flea shoppers love buttons.....I think $2.00 a card is a pretty fair price?
Be sure to check out the Polka Dot Flea website and FB page!
Happy Creating!
Carol
YES, I LOVE BUTTONS! I Love the bluebird image you used! I love to collect the button cards with bluebirds on them! Do you have any?
ReplyDeleteYou sure know me, the first table was mine from the tea party :)
Just a couple more week until your big venue!!!!
Take LOTS of photos for those of us who can't make it!!!
All the BEST for your big Flea Market!
warmly,
deb
OH-I LOVE your buttons. I have lots of buttons that belonged to my mother and hubby's grandmother. I love just looking at them.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great day- xo Diana
oh my goodness! I LOVE buttons! that's a great deal!!! I wish kids were taught to sew like we all were in the "old days".....such an invaluable skill...and so much fun shopping for fabric and buttons and patterns and trim :) your flea is going to be AH-MAZING~
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, I love buttons, too!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a lovely box you created to display yours :)
I love them, too! I even save the vintage-y cards after the buttons are gone and either stitch more old mismatched buttons to them or make unique bookmarks out of them.
ReplyDeleteButton love,
Kelley~
What a pretty display they make, Carol! I love buttons and love looking at them. Whether they are new or at an estate sale I always looked through the buttons. Not sure why, but I certainly like having a large selection to choose from when I am making something that could use a button to finish it off.
ReplyDeleteYou are not only clever you are generous! To part with your buttons for only $2 is making me even sadder I shall miss your amazing Polka Dot Flea! Love the box display too. Creative Button Bliss Dear...
ReplyDeleteLove all those pretty vintage buttons!! And your box you made for them is too cute!! Love the old labels/ price tags! :) Happy Wednesday! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteWhat's NOT to love about buttons :) And you have some of the cutest!
ReplyDeleteYou'll probably sell a ton of buttons.
ReplyDeleteYou might even get an offer to buy that adorable box! I love boxes!
This all looks fabulous.

I have loved buttons ever since I used to dig through my grandmother's button box. Regarding pricing, I went to the Calif. state button show last weekend and buttons on cards were selling for $4 each, so your price seems low to me.
ReplyDeleteYou sure do know how to create a "buzz" about this Polka Dot Flea!! I love buttons too and am sure we must be kindred spirits based on all the stuff you post, make and share because I love it all.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I love them too, and I sure love the lace lampshades under here. They are GORGEOUS.
ReplyDeleteBig hug from here
What's not to love about a box full of pretty vintage buttons. You are so clever with the way you decorated the box.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute display! You are so creative. I think the price is very fair:)xoKathleen
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a fair price. I love vintage buttons. My mom has a huge stash of them, but instead of having them nicely collected on cards, we have to search through the stash for matchies if we want them.
ReplyDeleteYou did such a cute job of display, too.
The Flea is getting closer!
Hi, Carole! I love vintage buttons. I think that's a good price. I only have a small jar of buttons on display in my home so I haven't ever bought a lot. Continued success with the polka dot flea! ~ Jamie
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, Love all the vintage buttons. I am sure you will sell bunches and your display will really set them off well. It's getting close!! How are you doing? Do you feel ready? You are going to be great and the flea a huge success!!
ReplyDeleteHugs
That is a very fair price! I think it's good to have some smalls for those with a tight budget! ♥
ReplyDeleteI love buttons. I use them in crafting. I keep them in jars to enjoy. And recently I even made some flowers with some of the pretty colored ones. I sell buttons in my antique shop and love to hear the reasons people buy them!
ReplyDeleteYour box looks terrific!!
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I could be there to dig through that bokk and touch the buttons, I have collected now several years and still love my old vintage button collection.
ReplyDeleteI bet you sell every card of buttons
ps
ReplyDeleteI want that card of larger blue buttons please
Janice
Carol what a great collection of buttons. $2 is a great price.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
I think I almost love the cards for old buttons and sewing supplies more than the supplies themselves . . . and those original prices?! Crazy -- by those standards, you ARE a bit overpriced -- LOL
ReplyDeleteYou do not have to explain loving buttons to ME!! Dang, I wish I wasn't so far away. 8+(
ReplyDeleteI love old buttons too especially when they are still on the original card backing. I can't believe your flea market is coming up so soon. It's right around the corner.
ReplyDeletelove how you dressed up the button keeper, carol! you always make things look so special...even vintage buttons:) happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am a total button hoarder! They are just so colorful and fun. I like the flower shaped ones and the mother of pearl ones and cards with fun graphics (just a heads up your $2 a BAG may cause some confusion as some may think they can fill a bag for $2 instead of $2 a card)..unless $2 a bagful is what you meant..and if it is I should be getting in the car! :) $2 per card is great..they cost more than that new!
ReplyDeleteme too!! lol. i sorted all mine out by basic color and put them in pretty little jars/bottles and displayed them in my childrens hutch in my dining room. i rather like them..... alot terrible huh:)
ReplyDeleteI love buttons too. I think that is a very fair price.
ReplyDeleteYour box looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSeems a fair price on the buttons to me.
Your show will be fantastic, wish I could attend:-(
Button....button.....whose got the button? Carol does...thats who! What a cute cute idea Carol! I can see customers now pawing thru all those buttons. :) xo
ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteWhat I wouldn't give to get to that Polka Dot Flea!!! St Louis to Florida...not in the cards :(
Have loved watching the prep!
