The Count down is on....6 months until Baby Boy gets married!
The "Save The Date" cards are out, and I am full speed ahead
My son and his fiance live in DC but, both are Florida kids and the wedding will be here in Orlando Thanksgiving weekend
And a dream come true......A vintage themed wedding...Could it get any better!
I've been recruited to make tussie mussies for the aisle, escort cards, mirror trays for the centerpieces, and table numbers
I've already made the bridal bouquet
And bridesmaids bouquets
The rehearsal dinner will be around the corner from my house at a cute little outside cafe "903 Mills Market". This is special place for the couple. They spent many hours here......."Getting to know you", since the future DIL lived a block away from me when they met.
It'll be a fun, casual dinner....Vintage Themed of course! I'll be able to show you some of what I am doing for the decor, but since the "Kids" read my blog, some pictures will have to wait until after the wedding, since I want it to be a surprise.
So, who doesn't like a wedding blog....Right?
Don't worry, I still have to keep my antiques booth full, so there will be plenty of regular posts!
I'm having so much fun
Happy Creating!
Carol
I just started following you yesterday! I got married last November and had a slight vintage theme to my wedding too. You are going a LOT more vintage than I did, but I'm excited to see everything you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about your antique finds! I'm hoping to start up a small booth myself soon. Still considering it and waiting to talk to the owners of a local antique mall - they're out of town until tomorrow.
Keep up the great posts!!
I am doing the last minute touches to our daughter's wedding....10 days to go! I am ready tho...

ReplyDeleteHow did you do the bridal bouquet? I'd love to make one to use for my table at the local wedding show in August and Sept. :) I make bridal clutches and clutches for bridesmaids too, been swinging towards more vintage sorta purses lately. :) If you could email me how to make those, I'd be really grateful! ReplyDeleteOh, Carol, you are in for the time of your life. Nothing more exciting than a wedding. Our anniversary is November 29 and we were married the day after Thanksgiving. I consider that a good luck weekend to get married.
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting time for you and your family. It is so wonderful that future DIL has asked you to take such an active part. That is not always the case.
ReplyDeleteShe had the good taste to realize what an asset you are.
I can't wait to see what all you are doing. The bridal and maids bouquets are exquisite. The fabulous thing is they are permanent and will be something the grands can see.
Bob and I are celebrating our 54th anniversary today. We have celebrated quietly today, lot of reminiscing. We then went out to dinner and now we are waiting to watch Nic Wallenda walk across Niagara Falls. We party BIG! LOL.
Enjoy this special time.
Hugs, Ginger
