The flower pins I made for the Fancy Flea were a huge success
I have used this basic flower on, bags, hats, pillows, and brides bouquets, but I had never made them into pins
The full flower tutorial is HERE
I start out by making tons of petals
Then had fun putting them together. I added lace, feathers, tulle, and vintage jewels
They look so cute on sun dresses, summer shirts, and hats
I finished them off by hot glueing felt and a pin on the back
I priced the pins at $10 and sold them all in 7 hours
Here they are ready to go to the flea, I pictured them with the flowered bridal and bridesmaids bouquets I made.....OK, who's suffering from flower overload?
Yep, my lace dress form was stripped naked by the end of the Flea
I just made some for my antiques booth, I'll see how they sell since it's a completely different venue than the Fancy Flea
One little flower.....So many uses!
Happy Creating!
Carol
Can you ever get too many flowers (?), nah! I love those! So delicate, so pretty!! Heck, for that matter, your mannequin is gorgeous as well!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! And only $10? No wonder they sold so quickly. Love them!

ReplyDeleteThey are so gorgeous, Carol, it's no wonder they sold. I have yet to make one, but know that one would look cute on a straw hat.
ReplyDeleteso very charming, carol:) one day i will get these sweet flowers off my to do list! (they won't look this great, though!
ReplyDeleteOh Carol, I love these flowers. I read the tutorial earlier and added to my list of "Carol Projects". I want to do them all, however some of them will be in my next life.
ReplyDeleteWhen we get home, I have to restore my antique dressform or Bob says one day when I am out the form is OUT!! Never happen but I do need to get hopping.
I think these flowers are so elegant. I never in a million years believed that they could be easy. Everyone should be sure to read that tutorial. It is explained well and I think I can do it.
Love ya girl, Gigner
So pretty Carol...and for just $10...what a deal.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Those are really pretty! I can't believe you make all those petals yourself...wow.
ReplyDeleteCarol your flower are sooo beatiful. I believe that you sold all they are very charming.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog so much. When I made my melted rose (inspired by you) it was a very popular post. I think you sell them too cheap. I have such a hard time with burning my fingers? How do you prevent that? I want to make more but always change my mind when I think about how my fingers were tender for a week after!
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much for the decals! I love them! I am totally getting it now. I did a bottle I am going to post soon. I hope you are still planning to do some more sets. I think they are awesome.
You are my favorite blog for tutorials. I love everything you do!
Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteOoh I love your pretty flower creations. I love putting them on everything!!!
I think they will sell in your booth and if they don't they will sure look good!

Dear Carol, Wow, I was hoping you'd do a tutorial on this. I tried sewing on the backing and pin by hand and it was just TOO Slow. I'm happy to see how you did it, also adding the extra little trimmings. Your's turned out so pretty!!! I can see why they sold quickly!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for sharing!
Hugs, Maki
Wish I had been there to grab several! They are so pretty and would be fun to wear.♥♫

ReplyDeleteThese flowers are so pretty AND I WILL be making some : )
Sending hugs...
Hi Carol--Sorry to bother you with another question--I have always wanted to get the half dress form with stand like you have but I went to your old post and looked at where to get it and it said you have to order 5 at a time. Am I understanding that right? I want to treat myself to that one of these days. It would look so good in my craft space on my old trunk.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI am still sending people over from my blog to your blog for your great tutorial for this tutorial.
Is it the pink or the fluff or the jewels that make them so pretty.. No, it's the maker, you the maker, your so talented Carol.
Oh my sweetness! I love this post! Thank you ever so much for sharing! Big hugs,
ReplyDeleteOlivia
Those are lovely!
ReplyDeleteYeah....another tutorial! LOVE these flowers! So pretty but I'm salivating more over the bling you have. I can see why they all sold! LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday weekend!

I'm not surprised that they sold quickly. They have a perfectly romantic feeling to them. I loved them displayed with the wedding bouquets.
ReplyDeleteBTW, hope the wedding plans are going well! You should do one of your signature vintage looks for your MOG dress and include one. I think that would be smashing.
Hi Carol, love your pins. I didn't get to see them in person at the Fancy Flea {maybe they were already gone?} but they're beautiful. I got a bottle yesterday to do a decal on, I'll let you know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteSooo lovely Carol! Just like everything else you create!! You are one gifted gal!
ReplyDeleteStill up for lunch? Maybe next week?
I'll email you!!
I'm still settling in after all of the excitement and emotions of the weddings! This weekend should be absolutely wonderful! Tomorrow we have baby Hannah's first birthday party, and the rest is all just for us! The honeymooners may pop in for dinner on Sunday or Monday, but that's it!!
Hugs to you!
I'll be in touch!
Becky
If you have more flowers, I would rather buy them for $10, than make them myself. They are soooo pretty that it would be easy to sell them for $20 in my market! You do the best work. Thanks for sharing again!
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely! Thanks for the tutorial!
ReplyDeletechris
I soooo want to make some of these my TALENTED FRIEND! If my booth is half as good/successful as yours I'll be HAPPY!
ReplyDeletexoRebecca

Hi Carol, thanks so much for the sweet comment you left on my blog. I miss my little guy something awful but stitching and housework help to keep me busy and in time, I'll focus more on my happy memories with Simba rather than on the pain I feel now.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
No surprise that they all sold. They've got your classy-soft touch.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, Carol! I must try my hand at these.
