I have no decorative painting skills, so making signs is something I generally shy away from....But wait, I think I found a way to paint signs...No skill needed
I found this siding laying on the curb it was from an old house in downtown Orlando . I stopped my car and loaded up as much as I could.....Wish I had taken more! I've used it for different projects off and on the past two years and this is the end of it...Sniff, sniff!
When I decorated the Store Window I made a sign to hang on the arbor and it was the first thing that sold.
So, I thought I would make a few more to bring to the Fancy Flea November 2
Some were stenciled....
....And some were made with the "Blender Pen Transfer Method" You can find that method HERE at Graphics Fairy along with 11 other transfer methods
Now, I have no decorative painting skills, but wanted painted signs. So, I printed out the words using a font where the letters had open spaces (Academy Engraved LET) on my Mac....
...Reversed the image and applied it with the blender pen
Then I used paint and a small paint brush to fill in the letters
TaDa...A painted sign.....And no decorative painting skills needed!
I price my signs between $12 and $16...Why the difference in price...
It is all based on do I like it or not!
Does anyone else use this very precise form of pricing?
