Transformations For my Antiques Booth

I've been busy stocking my booth at Orange Tree for the  Memorial Day sale.  This is one of our big sales of the year and I always do 25% off.

I found a couple old spools and fancied them up with graphics from Graphics Fairy, lace, and buttons.  I priced these at $7-$9

A couple of mirrored frames I filled with sheet music and printed graphics from Graphics Fairy
(I saw this on a blog somewhere)
It is a great inexpensive way to fill frames.  I priced these at $12

Yes, I got on the book band wagon.
I thought I would give a couple a try..they sold.  Then I thought I would make some more.....They sold.  So, I made some more.  I sell them for $6-8 a piece and they are turning out to be a good seller.

I painted and added vintage jewels to a napkin holder.  HERE is a post on some I previously did.

I am always in need of pictures for my booth.  I paint the frames white and filled them with pictures I already had.

I showed you a glove box I altered HERE?  It already sold, so I made up another one.

I priced this at $19

I made this flower and I would be happy to show you how, if you are interested.  I know when I see a blog with yet another flower tutorial I go "Oh, not another one", but I always look!  So let me know, this one was easy!

So, there ya have it, no earth shattering transformations, just stuff for my booth

 The sale is May 27-30
So, if you're in the area stop in
Orange Tree Antiques Mall
Orlando Ave, Winter Park, Florida

I will be picking the winner for my
Cottage Charm giveaway on the 29th, last chance to enter.

Happy Creating!

Carol

Sure wish I was around Carol. Love the spools! And forget me and the flower, I have little ability to learn how, I would muss it up!

Your creations are just the dreamiest! I love all that you offer. Maybe it is a very good thing I don't live close to your shop as I would be buying everything. Happy Holiday sales...

I'm impressed! I should try some of those books. I did do some book bundles I ripped the bindings off but have only sold one bundle. Maybe this kind of altered book would sell better and I would have fun doing it.
Love that glove box transformation!
I understand what you mean about the cost of the chalkpaint. I am going to do the 2 pieces I have now for my booth and add the extra cost into the price. If that doesn't work I will probably just keep the paint for personal use.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Hi Carol,
Oh what pretties for your booth. I just love the spools transformed into art! I have several of these and used to wrap my laces around them for display in my sewing room. Now that we have the house for sale I have stored away so many things. Think I'll get them out, borrow your idea and put them in my booth.

Thanks for all the wonderful ideas. I adore you!

hugs
Sissie

Wow Carol I love what you have made! Yes I would love to know how to make the flowers and the "books" look beautiful too, what did you use to make those?
I am doing a craft show in August with a friend who needs to make money for Christmas and I always have a rescue animal I need to get vet treatment for so I am looking for ideas for beautiful crafts I can make without spending too much and you are definitely my "go to" gal!
Thanks also for posting what prices you charge as I am never sure what I should charge for the things I have made.
Have a great day Carol and thanks a bunch!
Love...

PS...I wanted to follow too, but couldn't find the "button"...I'm thinking it might be because of the blogger issues. I'll stop back when they get it sorted out! Thanks again :) Laurel

This is going to be fun I use to have an antique store for 9 years I just closed in December....It was just to hard everyone was trying to sell you everything they had and I have a hard time saying no...not a good combo in a business woman but I so miss the customers and display work!
now I can live through your little shop!

HI, It's me Carol just testing my blog. I see my followers have disappeared, as have they on many blogs. If you would like to follow every blog has a follow at the very top of their blogs. Hope it gets fixed soon. Now I am going to see if this posts as many people have had problems with posting also.

Oh Carol, I love every one of these beautiful creations. I love the way you painted the tissue holder and added the bling. I have a few pieces similar to that and they haven't sold...maybe it's the gold. I'll have to white it up. The books are wonderful...no wonder you sold so many.
