Vintage Sheet Music Covered Suitcase

I was lucky enough to find another vintage train case and covered this one with vintage sheet music.

I pulled up Paris Graphics from the Graphics Fairy and printed the graphics onto sheet music by putting sheet music in my printer instead of copy paper

I first tore around the graphics and strategically placed them on the suitcase using Mod Podge.  Then tore the sheet music into small pieces and finished filling in the suitcase.

I gave it all a spray of walnut ink to age it

And covered the handle with twine

This was an easy project, but oh  baby was this ever tedious!

Just pull up a chair and pop in a movie, because this takes a couple hours to complete, but it's so worth the time.

Happy Creating!
Carol

I love it Carol! I just found a suitcase JUST like this at a thrift store for $3. I was going to cover it with fabric but I think paper & walnut ink would be so pretty! Where do you find the walnut ink? Thanks for the inspiration. :)

It really was worth the time, it looks so pretty and vintage with all the French writing.
Dare I ask if you decorated the inside? :)

Very cool! You always make your projects look so easy. I bet mine wouldn't turn out that neat.
I do have a really ugly beige carry on that needs something like this!

Hah! A way to deal with those handles! I've a couple of train cases (didn't realize that's what they were called; good to know) and plan to cover them but hadn't figured out how to deal with those battered handles.
