I love when I find ugly Italian chandeliers
No one else wants them and they are just screaming for a makeover
Here is one I did previously
I really liked this pink one, but went with blue this time. It proved to be a little more difficult...Note to self, don't use striped fabric! I did not realize when I started that the dimensions of the top and bottom of the shade where different
That meant I had to gather it. I used a glue called Fabri-Tac, from any craft store. In the end It turned out OK.
Some ruffles and heirloom white spray paint and I was finished
I sell these in my booth at Orange Tree for $65 and they never last long
Don't pass up these ugly lamps!
Happy Creating!

Oh this is gorgeous Carol! This is one of my favorite makeovers!
That is so funny to me...don't pass up an ugly lamp. Sounds like permission for me to buy some more lamps....my hubs would flip! He tells me no more lamps, no more chairs....I seem to be drawn to them!! Cute how you change the shades!!
Looks great!

I love these! What a great idea you have -- I'm always looking at lamps at thrift stores -- I need a floor lamp now and I refuse to buy one new! Thanks for your ideas!
It's really hard for me to visualize these changes when I see an ugly lamp! lol But you really make them beautiful! ♥
Carol, you are a genius! I would have turned and ran from that lamp and you made it so pretty!
It turned out gorgeous Carol!! I'm never lucky enough to run across anything this wonderfully ugly. ;)
I never see lights like that. Your transformation is wonderful and I love the gathers. How do you hang your chandeliers in the booth? I have no way to hang any chandeliers at mine (have some) and am looking for something to use.
You can so "see" outside of the box!!! It's a lovely lamp after you have done your magic to it!
How's things???
Had the garage sale today and will do it again Sat for a couple of hours. Have a wedding to go to on Saturday.

Great idea, Carol! I don't think there is ANYTHING you can't makeover! Fabulous!
Only you, with your eye, could transform those things. I picture yours hanging over a tub in a bathroom (clawfoot tub in my head) or a beautiful old vanity.
And I'm getting some of that walnut ink in the previous post. I love the way you age your stuff.
Great transformation! Just wondering if you have to rewire them. Kitty
LOL ohhh Carol, you could put lipstick on a pig and make it beeeyouteeful !

Thank you for the sweet note Carol...I will send my sons your thanks. They so appreciate thoughtfulness like yours! (as do I)
Blessings & hugs,
Karen

Fabulous as always girly girl.
YEP! Turn up those hearing aids. I've been screaming NO PINK IN MY GUEST ROOM for weeks! HEAR ME NOW?
good.
xoRebecca :)
Carol it is gorgeous! I love the blue. Glad you could make that fabric work.
Very Cute. I would of never thought of something like this. Visiting from MM.
What a gorgeous makeover! It's no surprise that they don't last long in your booth. I always seem to have that problem with stripes. Just when I think something is perfectly square...stripes prove me wrong.
Carol, this is beautiful. Love your makeovers.
Beautiful! Hugs Mary
