On my last post I showed you how I made the polymer clay knobs for my sweet little linen cupboard transformation
I wanted to throw out some ideas on how to decorate polymer clay knobs
I know with all of the creativity out there the possibilities are endless
Pull out all of your rubber stamps, buttons, water slide decals, and bling
The buttons and rhinestones I put on my knobs before baking
I am such a loser of a decorative artist, but wanted to show you the possibility of painting your knobs...Next life, I want to be able to paint and sing!
On these I used my rubber stamps after baking the knobs
Depending on how much wear the knobs get you could coat them with clear acrylic spray, I really like this triple thick acrylic spray
It gives the knobs below a nice shiny look
I used rose water slide decals on my knobs for the linen cabinet
There you have it, I can't wait to see the ideas you come up with!
Now I have a bunch of free knobs for future projects!
Happy Creating!
Carol

oh I love the addition on the rhinestones! Great pieces!
They really are adorable! I would never even think about making something like that! You are so smart! ♥
You always have such great ideas for us all. Thank you.
Love the stamped knobs and the blingy ones are so cool! Thanks for sharing.
So pretty!! I love the bling - I too wish I could sing - or even dance. My only talent is painting - I can't even cook!!

Carol, Carol, Carol! Now what is this about being "a loser of a decorative artist"? You continually inspire and amaze many people. Plus, I'm sure there are many painters and singers who would love to be able to turn trash and ho hum objects into treasures like you can. The world needs more visionaries like you, dear Carol. :)
Cheers,

What a GREAT idea...And a Perfect way to get Exactly what you want..The Rhinestones knobs came out Lovely... This is a Project I know we will be trying...
Your cabinet knobs are wonderful. For the price of your labor and supplies you have definitely outdone the uber expensive mass produced pieces available. I love your ingenuity dear...
oh, sooo sweet!!!!
The more you show those water slide decals, the more I see I am going to have to give in and order some of that paper someday. I love those little rose knobs, but I also like the stamped ones. Like you, I've used that same glaze many times, so for anyone who hasn't tried it, that is a great one to use. Have a great week!
wow thats such a great idea, I love them all but the ones that you stamped in black are really sharp!
Love these Carol! Can't remember whose blog I saw it on but you can stamp before baking to give a nice imprint! I just bought some clay to play with and oh guess what my Walnut Ink Crystals arrived today yay!!! I think I will like these, cheaper than buying the ink itself and you can make up as much as you want, to the strength/depth of color and as you need! I love this linen cupboard!
They are so awesome!
Nancy
Well, I want to paint and sing AND craft like Carol.
These are wonderful. My favorites (I think) are the stamped ones. I love them all though.
Love, love, love!
Beautiful little gems. Nice job Carol.
So, so pretty Carol. Seems easy enough... but I don't know about me, ha! Oh and btw, I want to be able to sing in my next life too!
Hugs,
Jacaly
They are all as cute as can be, Carol! I think your painted knobs turned out very well. Decorative painting can be a challenge on a small space but you're on the right track. Frequently there's lots of trial and error before success happens--ask me how I know!
Love, love, love this! These are little works of art, Carol. You are so creative.....
What a clever idea... This is my first visit to your blog, so I had some back tracking to do on how you made your knobs. You did a very nice job... I may try some myself ":o)
Oh these are just so pretty. What an awesome job you did!!

I added the ingredients to the pumpkin spice sugar scrub, so check back.
Your designed knobs are so creative. A great way to get a custom look.
Oh Carol these are adorable. ADORE the ones with the bling added! But the stamped Paris ones are 2die4 too!
You are so not a "loser" at anything. So creative. Love your posts. My 10 year old followed your instruction for making clay roses and made a batch for me to use! Isn't that fab?
Thank you so much for thinking/worrying about me. That really touches my heart and means so much. I'm back. Leg is healing, I am getting fit and healthy and in a better mood too ;)
I am going to catch up on visiting now.
In my next life I want a true willowy ballerina's body and straight hair, K?

Thanks for checking out my blog! I love your knobs- terrific job decorating them. I've never worked with polymer clay, but I've always wanted to make little figurines (like pigs, etc) out of it! I'm gonna look through more of your posts now...
P.S.- I'm following you now!
I LOVE these, Carol! I so want to make some!
Thanks for sharing the how-to! Will be adding these cuties to my list of projects!
Hugs!
