My Meanest Comment in 2011...But, Oh So Funny!!!

I wanted to end 2011 with a good laugh!

Last March I posted about a gun rack I transformed into a plate rack

I LIKED the way it turned out

Now, wait for it......You'll get a "Bang" out of this!

First I have to tell you, I had tons of Google hits on this post and I  think it was the Boys wearing camouflage  looking for a gun rack and one of them did not like what I did with a gun rack!

The comment came in as Anonymous....Surprise.  I didn't publish it, but I did save it just for you!

Here it is just as I received it bad spelling and all!!

Of all the things to do with a gun rack... Why would you

turn it into little miss muffets` half assed attempt at

decorariting an old ladies senior home! Forget the plates

and load it with depends, cause the only person with taste

that bad is going to need them!

on 7/6/11

Are you snorting with laughter?

Now, I subscribe to the saying "If you don't have anything

nice to say...Don't say anything at all"

But, I got the last laugh, I sold the plate rack to a

20 something hip girl

....And from what I could tell she was not wearing DEPENDS

AND SHE CERTAINLY DID NOT LIVE IN AN

Old Ladies Senior Home

Ok, so I had one bad comment, but I want to thank you for

4721 Kind, sincere, and inspiring comments I received in

2011

Happy New Years

And

Happy Creating!

Carol

I love the gunrack...oops...platerack. I am sure it looks a lot nicer hanging on the wall that it did filled with ugly guns! (And I am not an old lady living in a senior home wearing Depends either) :)

Your gun rack transformation is just awesome, my husbands agrees to. The poor comment came from someone that has not class, and most of all taste and imagination, how sad, Hugs Mary

Wow of wow....your right.... nasty words, but it was pretty funny! I think the gun/plate rack turned out beautifully, like most of the things you do! Happy New Year my friend, Diane

Carol, I am laughing till my sides ache. How nasty can one person be. I've been lucky so far I guess. The meanest comment I received was that I had put the napkins on the wrong side on my tablescape (which I did, senior moment I think). They did end the comment with, "pretty tablescape though'. Really I do know how to set a table. Don't ask me where my mind was last Thanksgiving morning. By the way, love the (gun) plate rack! Wishing you a New year full of only nice posts.

Poor Mr. Anonymous--destined to end his days sitting in unchanged Depends at the rattiest care center in his area. And all because of one unkind comment in his younger days. Karma's a beeyotch.

At least we got a good laugh out of it!

I saw a blog the other day that was JUST for bad comments a few girls recieved and then the girls would reply and all the "good" commenters would, too. I thought it was a great way to deal with the web haters! ♥

Carol,
This is hilarious. You have such a sense of humour and it really shines through in some of your posts. It is worth having a good laugh at the ridiculous comment. Another excellent transformation project. I think we all should transform a gun rack (with the key word as gun rack) and really annoy Mr Anonymous if he is looking again.
Happy New Year

Oh my gosh, so funny. I actually almost spit out my sip of coffee when I read about the Depends. Well, I love the gun rack, er pardon me - plate rack. I am going to be your newest follower. I think that guy who left the comment pretty well showed his level of intelligence and his personality in his comment - so consider the source. That being said, men will be men and women will be women, and thank God for our differences. I guess I would be a little concerned if this man had written gushing over how lovely the gun rack turned out. Have a wonderful new year. I am looking forward to more of your posts. I am shaking my head at the ignorance and bad manners that poster has. But then you can tell by the grammar they probably didn't get past sixth grade....I feel sorry for them and the people that have to be around them. BUT I am overjoyed for us old depend-able ladies with the awful taste because we looooove everything you create. (())

I loved the gunrack turned depends holder! I mean plate rack! How funny~sure it was a guy who never should be in a relationship. Good for you for putting the correct spin on this one!

Shelley Davis said...

I love that. Obviously the only taste that person had was in their mouth. What prompts people to say anything if they don't like it? That person should have just had a laugh to themselves if that was how they felt.

I love your blog. Thanks for a wonderful year!

Shelley

Depending on the hormones, I would have either laughed or cried. But even if I cried, at some point, I would still have laughed.

Just sayin'...

Happy New Year, Carol. Thanks for making the last one so fun of creative energy.

That was hilarious... I remember seeing that gun rack. I personally loved it. I'm currently looking for a stand up gun rack to transform into a full length PANTRY FOR MY KITCHEN...complete with chicken wire and maybe some burlap... Oh yes, a girl has got to have a cute place to store her cast iron skillets and her canned beans!
THIS DID MAKE ME LAUGH... so funny.
Imagine...googling Gun Rack and you get this cute little transformed beauty... adorable.
