If at first you don't succeed, try again!
I found this little white table
And painted it with an "Oops" green paint. I know this happens to every one that sells furniture, you get bored with the same old transformations, so once in a while you try something different. I thought I would do a lace pattern on top with a bronze spray.
Nope, I just wasn't feeling it, so I repainted the top
And copied some old post cards to lay under the glass. This gives the buyer the option to remove them and at the same time gives them ideas, maybe they could put photo's under the glass
When trying to appeal to buyers I find it is best not to stray to far from the norm if I want a quick sale
I priced it at $38 and put it in my booth at Orange Tree Antiques. It was a quick sale...But here is the crazy thing....The buyer didn't want the glass top..The nice thick green tinted glass. So, I have a nice piece of glass for another project! Crazy!

Ok I will try this again! The first one I didn't proof read! I know it's funny you never know what people will do! I made a message center out of an old dresser harp and chicken wire then painted these cute little clothes pins to stick things on it and they didn't want the clothes pins! LOL

Given that you can pick the style of table up very cheap, the glass is a lot of the value. They must have only been interested in how you decorated the table, which is very flattering to you! ~ Maureen

WHAT???? I can't believe the buyer didn't want the glass!!! Just to buy a piece of glass that thick and round would cost $38 or more! lol oh-well...all the better for you. I love the color you put on there-I can see why it sold quickly. xo Diana

You are so right Carol. I have tried doing different things to pieces and they take longer to sale. Too taste specific, I guess.
Anyway I've learned that simple is better.
Love the little table and glad you got to keep the glass.
Just kills me when I hear a customer say they can't wait to get a piece home and repaint it! LOL!

Well, that worked out, Carol! That glass can be expensive to have cut to fit a table. Hopefully you'll find another one that size and can use it again. You priced that well. I would have snapped it up, too!

I love that color...good find! I have used glass table rounds on pedestals, metal plant stands and even on old sewing machine bases and they work great. Thanks again for making more water slide decals. You are wonderful!

I don't know about your shop, but even if we paint it white, it's the wrong white. I know what you mean about getting tired of the same color over and over and over.

some people just don't recognize a good thing when they see it. It reminds me of the time, very long ago when I bought an old singer sewing tredal. It came with the machine, wooden case and the drawers.....I just wanted to tredal, no machine, no wooden case and no drawers. What a mistake that was. I was young, what more can I say, but I will never forget that.....never.
I just have to wonder how many times your customer will think back and realize she should have taken that beautiful piece of glass.......

I love this little table and the glass top with the post cards underneath. I once knew someone who did this with her Kitchen table and cahnged out the post card for every Holiday and season . Now doesn't that sound like something I would do??? LOL!
