Selling My Wedding Dresses

Crazy lady here ........I've decided to sell SOME of my wedding dresses at the Fancy Flea

My brother was over this week and saw my new blush pink wedding gown hanging out  (Oh, I love it dripping in lace and appliques)  He said "What are you going to do with that" (Boys are sooo stupid!)

I said "This is not the only one I have" and I proceeded to drag out more and more wedding dresses (You should have seen his face, he looked at me like I had grown 2 heads)

We decided it would have been pretty funny if I had died and he went to clean out my closest and found all of these wedding dresses...Don't tell him but, there is more LOL!

OK, maybe it is a little crazy to have a closet full of wedding dresses so, I bought a rolling rack from Walmart for $9.87 and decided to sell some at the Fancy Flea.

I will be pricing them between $45 and $85.

I will also be selling a veil I altered.  It was a plain veil and I added some vintage flowers around the crown

I've had some emails wanting more details about the Fancy Flea

Thank you so much....I really appreciate all of your encouragement and well wishes in being a first time vendor

I have just over a week until the Flea and 2 more posts to show you the rest of the goodies I'm bringing

Happy Creating!
Carol

Now I only have my wedding dress, but believe me...I know the two head look! I remember one day a salesman came to our home for insurance..we had asked him to come...and he is sitting there..silent! all of a sudden he says...so where do you find all this junk?
We found another insurance guy!

They are all so gorgeous, Carol! No, men do not understand and I'm sure you would be laughing from heaven at his face if that ever happened and he was going through the closet! : ) That pink one is so pretty. I could see some of today's young ladies buying one to wear to their own wedding. If I knew better 27 years ago, I might have gone that route myself!

LOL! "Boys are sooo stupid", such a funny post! You have so much eye candy that your booth will surely draw a large crowd. And you will become addicted to doing more shows. Wishing you lots of luck and good times! Be sure to take pictures of your set up before the mob of buyers hit your space.

Yes boys are stupid, lol.... and some men can be even more stupid. Actually I know a few woman that would roll their eyes at this too, but surely NOT ME.
My daughter LOVES the new BLUSH colour. Well it's not new I guess, just a new name for modern brides. I know Daisy cottage Kim will be there with bells on her toes. She was one of the first blogs I encountered, and MJ from Beehive Cottage from CA. Such inspirational blogs. Yours is too Carol.
How I wish I could be there. They wouldn't let me on the airplane if I was ; (

Hi Carol,
In addition to spending time with my sister this weekend I had a big doze of brotherly love as well. You should have seen his face when my sister and I would pick up something and proceed to tell him what we were going to do with it!
He thought we had indeed grown two heads each!

I love your gowns and I too have a collection. I have thought about selling them but I'm not ready to let go yet.

Time is getting near for your big debute. I know you'll be a hit.

hugs
Sissie

That is so funny about your brother! I have a brother too who has such a quizzical look on his face when he comes over and sees my decor! Ha! Good luck at the Fancy Flea. Wish I lived in Florida!

I'm forwarding your blog link to my daughters. I don't think it occurred to them to look for a vintage wedding gown when the time comes. I know they'll love seeing yours, and I bet you make a lot of prospective brides happy by adding yours to your shop. Funny, when I saw your wedding dresses on the little thumbnail that accompanies your feed in my blog sidebar, I said to myself, wow, she's had a LOT of weddings and a LOT of marriages! LOL!

Oh gosh I would have such a hard time parting with those, all that rich dripping lace and frou frou!! *swoon*

Hi Carol!
I wish I lived closer so I could meet you in person at the Fancy Flea! Good luck, but I don't think you will need it. You have the most fabulous ideas on your blog! Thanks for all the great how-to's! (P.S. Don't tell my husband that I have four wedding dresses! One from 1930s, one from 1940s and two vintage 1980s! One has a giant bow on the behind! haha I loved the dress and bought it because I had to show my 23 year old how over the top we were in the 1980s! :)
