Making Wedding Garters

Oh my gosh 6 weeks until my son's wedding....Wow, this is really coming fast!  We have a list of things to do and this last weekend we checked off....Making the wedding garter!!

The future DIL and I collaborated all weekend, I had so much fun making many different style......And then we got it JUST RIGHT!

In June I went to New York City and while I was there I shopped  the garment district with the wedding garter in mind, coming home with many laces and trims

Then a couple weeks ago I won this giveaway from Pam at 52 Apothecary Shop a fabulous French inspired blog...More bling and lace....Thank you Pam!

After one more stop at a wonderful local Orlando fabric store that specializes in everything bridal....We were ready to start creating!

You know I always share how to make all of my projects, but I used so many different techniques and there is already many wonderful tutorials online.  I can recommend this great YouTube video that got me started

I can't tell you which one she picked because my son reads my blog, but I will tell you she said

"I love it"

Which one do YOU think she picked?

If you have missed any wedding posts, you can catch up by clicking on any of these links

Happy Creating

Carol

Your daughter in Love is a very lucky girl. Fashionable too. You managed a wonderful, romantic and so elegant look for a small detail. It speaks so loudly of the people you are...
Thank you for sharing!

Wonderful weekend it was. Your family is so fortunate to be able to enjoy one another and create beautiful harmony together. I see the one I think she selected. I would have a tough time but the little girl in me has a favorite. Love every one of them. The shopping must have been amazing too. Creative Bliss...

Hi Carol,
I'm a tad behind in visiting you..sorry!
Love the little vanity chair and think under 35.00 was the right price!
I LOVE the garders!!! I'm thinking the one with the rose that matches her bouquet! I do love the first one!!!
Warmly,

Oh, they are all so beautiful!♥

I'm thinking she chose the one that seems to best match her bouquet--i.e., the one with the blush lace and the ecru flower from Pam's giveaway. But it's like choosing a favorite child... you just can't!

I'm guessing the first one but how on earth would a person choose JUST one! Can she wear one on each leg at least??

Silvia said...

They are gorgeous!!! Each and every one of them. I would also want them all.

I think this bride needs L O N G legs so she can wear them all! Beautiful laces and trims. I'd love to go on a shopping trip with you!♥♫

I think she chose the Ivory satin garter with the silver beaded applique, because that's what I would choose.

OK, it's official. This wedding is perfect right on down to the garter. I LOVE this idea, and it's perfect for her vintage wedding. Just perfect.

I'm going to guess that she picked the one with the biggest bling. Of course, if her taste is like her future MIL, she might go with the first one you featured with the blush colored flower. That one looks like you.

I'm enjoying a week with my DC daughter home. It's great to see her!

Carol,
All of they are just Gorgeous!! I know what you can do with them, but not for DS to read. Carol have you taken care of yourself for the wedding? Dress, Hat, shoes, Handbag, ? etc. Is DDIL making a Wedding Photo Album for all of the Wedding Photography?

Door Number One or Door Number Two....???? They are all so pretty...I will guess the one that I like the very best. It's the one that is white and very soft looking with the round rhinestone medallion. I can't wait to see which one your daughter-in-love chose! What a beautiful wedding this is going to be, Carol!
Blessings to you all,
Carolynn xoxo

Carol, these are gorgeous. So pretty and feminine. I bet your future DIL had an impossible time picking which one she wanted to wear.

Gorgeous!! It would be hard to pick but my probably wrong guess is the one at the top in the last pic. They are all beautiful! Are you selling the runners up or are they going to be part of the decor?
