Dress Form Giveaway and Dress Form Ball

Mark your Calendars for The Polka Dot Closets 2nd annual Dress Form Ball!!

Last year we had a huge turn out and so much fun!  Get your dress forms ready, to join the linky party on on March 11

I'd like to see a show of hands....Do you own a dress form, vintage, new, full, half, hanging...Any form?

Now is the time to start picking out A dress for the ball!

Wait....If you don't have a dress form? Barr Display has generously offered this table top dress form for one of my readers to transform any way they like!

A lot of possibilities for this sweet table top form

The tutorial for this sheet music covered form is HERE

This table top dress form is available from BARR DISPLAY
If you live in Orlando or Baltimore there is a  Barr Display store in town, or you can order online.

This is two parts, the form and the base.

The form can be used alone and has a swivel hanger.

The form is $8.95

The base is $12.00

The form and base are #8020 and come in black and white. Put #8020 into "Search" in their online catalog
The shipping is actual cost

This is not a paid advertisement.  I just think for $20.95 it's a great deal for anyone dreaming of owning a dress form!

The tutorial for this lace covered form is HERE

If you would like to enter the drawing to win the dress form....Cross your fingers and leave a comment!  Make sure there is a way I can contact you if you win

I will pick the winner by random number on Tuesday 1/ 8 /13

Good luck and happy Creating!

Carol

Well of course I would love to be included...even though my dress form lost a few of her pieces last year. Hopefully I will have a better behaved one this year.lol
I am always game to decorate a new lady to join the ball.

Oh how I'd love to have her! Then I wouldn't be the only female around here! LOL! But seriously, I would LOVE to have a dress form. . . Been coveting these for a while.

I took your advice a while ago and bought two forms from Barr Display - shipping is kinda high but it was fun to decorate. I got one done and sold - now to do the other one! I have three full size forms - one vintage, one modern wire, and one real Singer dressform. Can't get enough of them!!! Thanks for the chance to win another!

Seriously? I would love a dress form!! Then I would love to come to the ball! This is a great deal. I seen some body tops like this in both female and male variety at our Salvation Army, only $95 a piece! Uh, I thought this was a thrift store?? So of course I didn't get one. $20.95 is a great deal!
Blessings,
Susie

I would definitely love a chance to win this, Carol! I agree, that is a great price. If I don't win, I have a small wire one {that is about all that I can fit} that I use when I'm photographing my child size aprons, and I have a very small tabletop one that I decoupaged and made an apron for that sits on my sewing table.

I've never been asked to the ball before! (I'm such a Cinderella!)

Thanks for the chance to win a dress form. (I sooooo ♥ your lace-covered one!) I'm torn between that, the sheet music or vintage bling bling...

I do have an antique dress form that wears my wedding dress in my wedding shrine in a corner of my bedroom. Sometimes when I'm altering a garment for a customer I have to unbutton alllllll the buttons to free the form.

Cathy said...

I'm so glad that you're doing this again this year! Mae attended last year, so I think Betty will attend this year. She will be busy planning her party attire. :)

Carol, You sure know how to put the pressure on a girl. I vowed to complete six of your tutorials this year. I was still resting!!
Every time I pass that box, in the garage, with the pieces to the antique dressform I think of you. I guess I will have to get my b**t busy and get it ready for the party. However, if I win the dress form, I can dress that and put off digging into that box for a while.
Happy New Year, xo Ginger
