My Partner For The November 2, 2013 Fancy Flea

In my previous post I explained why I needed a partner if I was ever going to do the Fancy Flea again.

So...drum roll please...my Partner will be:  Barr Display Store

I explained my relationship with Barr Display on the post HERE.  If you have not read the post, here are the cliff notes: Barr Display and I have had a long standing relationship and they are now selling my "Vintage Look" dress forms in their retail store here in Orlando as well as in their online catalog.  I'm so pleased that my dress forms are now being shipped to stores and homes around the country!

Barr Display in the past has only done trade shows, marketing display pieces only to boutiques and large retailers; they have never done anything like a vintage market.

So, I'm going out on a limb here kids, but I know this is the right audience.  These are my shabby peeps that attend the Fancy Flea, and love having dress forms to display vintage clothing in their homes and studios.  They want a pretty way to display their jewelry on their dressers and need display pieces for their boutiques, antique booths, craft fairs, online, and brick and mortar stores.

We will be selling table top, hanging, and full dress forms.  But we will also be featuring mannequins, hand displays, every jewerly display imaginable, and so much more.

I have had a ton of fun altering many of Barrs display's pieces and I will share the results in the coming weeks.

And so...This is our vision:  We will integrate the altered and unaltered display pieces. To make the booth fit with the Fancy Flea theme, I will  be selling many of my own items including altered vintage slips and jean jackets (there won't be any naked dummies standing around!), furniture, tussie mussies, fabric flower pins, lace tablecloths, runners, and doilies, along with fabric flower bouquets, millinery flowers, etc.

I'm so excited about this I could just burst!  When I go into Barr Display's retail store I feel like I'm going into a candy store!  My mind goes crazy thinking how I could alter many of their products.  Over the next 8 weeks, I'll show you everything we're doing for the November 2 Fancy Flea show.

Happy Creating
Carol

Carol, what a great opportunity! I am so happy for you. I could see why you feel like a kid in a candy store. I would be too. I am getting closer to retirement so I can try many of your wonderful tutorials. Best of luck at the show and I can't wait to hear all about it.

Yea! I'm sure this will make your goodies look even better. Although, I'm not sure if they can, hope that makes sense and sounds like the compliment it is supposed to be. I think there is something in the air around here, besides dairy dust (yes, dairy-I live next to cows!), that is giving me a sinus headache. And I'm not at my best with headaches. Anyway, exciting news!! Looking forward to seeing more.♥♫

I recently acquired a dress form, but it is missing the finial-type top. Any idea where to find one? Are they one size fits all? Just thought you might know. I love what your doing to the Barr display items,,,,how fun!!

Hi Carol, WOW this is going to be fabulous. I love everything you get your hands on to recreate.

Thank you for stopping by and your visit. I have to say, the time away went so fast but I was always inspired to see your post in my inbox. I was not always able to comment, but loved keeping up with all you have been doing.
The window displays were fabulous.
Love the makeovers and I sure wish I was coming to The Fancy Flea in November. Maybe I will plan to come in the future.

Anyway, much success with your Barr Displays. So excited for you.
