Road Trip....Vintage Living Market Place

I took a fun weekend road trip to the east coast of Florida to visit my friend Terrie's brand new store
5555 US Highway 1
Rockledge, Florida

Terrie has leased a building that was previously a high end store selling kitchen cabinets and appliances.  This large building has numerous little rooms that displayed mock up kitchens.  Each one of these rooms is gorgeous and now filled with vendors selling their treasures.  Think, crown molding and transom windows over the doorways.  I love the juxtapose of shabby and rusty in a high end setting!

Since this was previously a kitchen store it has the benefit of having a commercial kitchen!.....This makes it the perfect setting for hosting gatherings...Ladies teas, birthdays, showers!....And the bonus is the guests can browse the Market after their event!

I was on the lookout for a dresser for my Hollywood Regency bedroom.....I bought this one...PERFECT!

I also bought the shabby pole lamp below

So many of these great vendors displayed at the Polka Dot Flea and it was so fun to see them again!

Stay tuned....I will share a few more stores I visited in Melbourne on my getaway weekend

Thank you Vintage Finds Magazine for some of these great photo's

Oh, and I am still working on my Hollywood Regency Bedroom.....Photos soon!

Have a great Labor Day weekend

Happy Creating
Carol

What a perfect place for a vintage store, every space is decorated to perfection. I just made some chalkboards like the ones next to the typewriter, so quick and easy. Love the dresser you bought for your Hollywood Regency bedroom.

What a wonderful place! I don't know if I will ever get to Florida but if I do, this will be on my list. Can't wait to see the bedroom reveal. That dresser is a great find.

I would absolutely love to browse through a place like that. Even when I was a little girl, this one would have intrigued me if it had all the little mini rooms. What a perfect location.

Good Morning Carol, Congratulations to your friend and her new store opening. It's a lovely store and that kitchen could be used in so many ways to bring in cash and customers. I'm thinking a tea room:)
I was so thrilled when I saw that you had posted, because I thought it would be pictures of your new bedroom. I'm really excited about it :)
Have a great day!

Carol,
Love the photos! Wish I could visit there!! Have a great weekend! BTW the wildlife camera is an outdoor camera that lets you see what is in our yard- on Amazon under 100.00
uses a camera card and does both day and night photos. We are having a lot of fun seeing what the skunks and raccoons and the neighborhood feral cats are doing at night. Hugs,Linda

What a relaxing bedroom this has given me the courage to do something like this in my new home, As we will be living at the beach so I may have to make it more be achy, once again you have come up with great ideas and follow through. Cannot wait to learn how you did the pelments. What kind of material did you use for curtains?
