Ladies Only Champagne Holiday Brunch

For many years I have hosted a
"Ladies Only Champagne Holiday Brunch"

Besides deviled eggs and a meat tray the buffet includes sausage cheese balls and cheesy hash brown potatoes.  It is something that Julia Childs would approve of, it includes a stick of butter, 2# of cheese, and a pint of whipping cream poured over the top.

I fit 20 people into my little house (That's Billie the cat on the back of the couch)

I made petite fours for the first and last time...Can we say pain in the butt!

And the guest of honor.....Mimosa's

We eat and then do an ornament exchange, it is so much fun to get together with just the girls at this special time of year.

Mommy and me

You know the song, "All though it's been said many times, many ways"......Well, indulge me as I thank you, I had no idea when I started blogging 7 months ago the wonderful people I would meet.  The support and friendship was not something I was prepared for.  It is not that the people in my life don't love and support me, it's that they don't get my shabby, romantic, crafting, world like you do.  I have learned so much, from such generous bloggers.  I feel so intimately tied to your cats, dogs, kids, booths, online stores, craft projects, health, and happiness.  You have enriched my life

So,  "All though it's been said many times, many ways"
Merry Christmas to you!

Carol

Your home looks so cozy and inviting. And your goodies put ten pounds on my hips just by looking at them, so I know they must have tasted "simply divine, dah-ling!"

I'm glad you started blogging. You have a personal and generous touch as you share your creative world with us that I just love. Much merriment to you and your lovely mom too during the holiday season!

Hi Carol!
You are just a doll! I love the photo of you and your Mom, you are both so cute.

You really prepared a lovely brunch for the ladies. Everything looks so pretty.
Your home is so you! I love all the dreamy pastel colors and pretty details throughout your rooms.

You are so right about other bloggers understanding one another and I agree that bloggers friends like you have enriched my life as well. I just love it when you email me with a comment, suggestion or question about our booths or things in general that only we can appreciate. I love how you share your ideas and creative projects.

I'm so glad that our paths have crossed.

I wish you a beautiful Christmas.

hugs
Sissie

Ohhhhhh Carol, this looks AMAZING! I am with you in spirit and your holiday decorating is quite enough, so pretty and shabby. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone, but the "family room is where I am going to find some old Victorian sofa to work one! Only shabby roses of course, maybe wicker! Giggle! Maybe you read my mine...anyhoo, my kids are always with me so, if I have a "studio" they must be apart of it (of course I get to decorate it) Hee Hee! Love your yummy goodies you shared.
Squishy hugs,
Olivia

What a wonderful blog! I just subscribed :-) I see myself as a bit of a minimalist also. I have a tree, simply decorated with whatever ornaments I have, a few Christmas themed candles on my own fireplace mantle. I don't have stockings hung (yet) as I am looking for a nice set of holders like you have (the "J", "O" & "Y") so I don't have to put screw in hooks in my own mantle :)

Lovely blog, thanks for joining and sharing.

Merry Christmas to you too!!

Champagne is the best way to start a ladies brunch! The food looks delicious, my mum makes devilled eggs at parties and they always go down a treat. Merry Chrissy to you too all the best for the holiday season and look forward to seeing more crafting ideas in the new year :)

You are so right, sugar. How can there be "closure" on a tragic event. It doesn't make sense to me either. Pop psychology I think!
