I often see these Chandelier lamps, but thought they were beyond help.
Then someone gave me one, free!
Don't you just love when people go
"No, don't throw it away, give it to Carol"
Stained lamp shade and all
It had holes for attaching crystal and it's little "Made in Italy" tag still attached.
It needed all new wiring and a complete makeover.
Some heirloom white paint
And some vintage crystal...Oh, I love crystals!
Ruffles from torn and gathered muslin
And some Mary Rose fabric
It was ready for my booth at Orange Tree Antiques
I priced it at $65.00
I almost kept this one for my bedroom!

Hi Carol, love what you did w/ this and how perfect, already having holes for the crystals. I tried drilling holes once in a brass one and let me just say, it didn't work for me. My friends too pass their "supposed" junk my way, love it!
Hi Carol, That is quite a transformation and so adorable now! Love the fabric and ruffles.

OMG Carol! I LOVE what you did with this chandelier ~ I think I would end up keeping it for myself :) Or at least, enjoy it my home for a little while, then "pass it on" to someone else. Truly gorgeous!!
Warmest hugs, Brenda

Oh girlfriend, that lamp was ugly (sorry) and just like the black duck, it turned into a beautiful swan. You did a gorgeous job. I love the Mary Rose fabric and the ruffles. That was quite the transformation. Magical, Char

Lovely transformation. You really do have the eye. Happy selling...
just gorg-juss Carol!
That lamp is really cute. If my poor 10 yr old daughter saw it she'd want me to get it and change her whole room around that lamp!
Carol ~ you did a great job with this! It looks beautiful. Actually, I never pass these up, they sell really well and alot of my customers love the original finish as it gives it more of a French style, but sister, that shade definitely had to go! What a great job! Keep it up! ~Stacy~
It's gorgeous- love it in white!!! Stopping by from Transformations and Treasures- Nice to meet you! :)

You sure saw the potential, I love what you did with it. I'm sure it won't be around long.
Holy WOW Carol!! You totally saved something I would have been throwing away too and made it beautiful! :)
Holy WOW Carol!! You took something I would have been throwing in the trash too and made it beautiful!! :)
Wow, that's some transformation! You've done an amazing job here.
You did an amazing job as usual. I wish I had your energy and know how. I bought some chandeliers recently and almost set the place on fire when I plugged one in. Not even going to try the other. Do you have any tips on doing this? I have googled to no avail and besides you are so good at sharing instructions in a way that is easy to understand. Could you please help?
whoooweeee!!! You sure cleaned that one up! Looks FABULOUS! So scrumptious, I just just want to gobble it up!
Very pretty and see you soon!
Warmly,
deb
Ooh Carol! This is so pretty and I bet it doesn't stay in your booth for long!!!
How's the little table doing? LOL! Mine is still awaiting a new home.

Gorgeous! Well done!
Carol, I am so glad you found me, however you did it! :) Absolutely stunning redo. I am in total love. I see these frequently at thrift shops and this is beyond anything I could have dreamed up. You need to make more! Thanks so much for linking up!
That's such a beauty, Carol.Of course, I'm crazy about the pink pattern so that's an added bonus.
hi Carol,
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I see we both love vintage florals!
Tracey
Love the raggedy ruffly on this fabulous transformation Carol. I bet someone has already got this beauty hanging in their home by now. xo
I love it! I think I've told you that I love anything pink with roses. Hard to believe your beautiful lamp came from such an out of date lamp like the original. That is one I would have had trouble parting with too!
...oh my, how lovely it is now!!
No wonder others say, "don't throw it out, give it to Carol!"
xo, Rosemary
I love how this turned out soooo much! I never tire of a chandelier painted white.
