A Paris Box

I made a little Paris box, but it would not have been possible without the generosity of fellow bloggers...What nice thing has a fellow Blogger done for you?

I started with a plain blue cardboard box and painted it heirloom white
Sunny Florida was not so sunny yesterday, so excuse the dark photo's

I stamped the box with French Vintage and Paris stamps from Stampin D' Amour Sweet Pamela sent me the French Vintage stamps because she saw how much I liked the Paris Cavallini stamp set on my previous project...How nice was that!

After I stamped the box with my new stamps I covered it with a brown glaze

I gave it all a spray with a clear acrylic

Time to spruce up the inside

This is where Char at Some Place In Thyme comes in.  I commented on how much I liked a paper she used on a project, and she sent it to me!  Aren't bloggers something!  She picked it up locally at Mystic Paper, but you can purchase through them on line.

The paper I used is called 7 Gypsies, I used the Paris paper

Some polka dot ribbon and vintage bling and it is ready for my booth at Orange Tree

I want to add one more story about generous bloggers and then I would love to hear your experiences

Francie at The Scented Cottage did a post about her "Thrifty finds" and one of them was this gorgeous little pitcher/gravy boat.

My comment on her post was "I love it, put it in your will for me"  her comment back was "I don't have to die for you to have it, I will send it to you"....And she did!

We all know bloggers are the nicest, most generous, people!

What nice thing has a fellow Blogger done for you?

Happy Creating!
Carol

Aunt Carol, I can see why your Bloggy Friends have been so giving to you...As you are the Sweetest....And Certainly one of the most Creative and Kind Bloggers... : )All of your Treats are delightful....HHHHMM!!! lets see...I am still fairly new to this Blogging world...However the other day I mentioned to one of my Blogging friends in her comment section that my husband and I went to Costco to look for the Vanilla Beans she had bought to make a Vanilla Sugar...Well I didn't find them and told her I would look at another Bulk store...I was REALLY wanting to make this sugar... : ) and I was going to post on it and share her link...Well she wrote me an email and stated that if I didn't find it she would send me a Bottle...Now isn't that just so SWEET...Oh and her blog is the Cottage Market...She is also new to this blogging world...

And Aunt Carol...I would share my Teeny Tiny Popeye Bathroom with you.. :)

Oh my gosh, how nice some bloggers are! One time I received a package and I was surprised, it was from Annie @ Plum Siena, she saw the book "Creating the french look" she thought it had my name written on it, bought it and sent it to me. It's incredible how the internet connects people, we may not ever know each other in person, but our friendships will last forever, I think is just too sweet!
Love your Paris box, that 7 gypsies paper is gorgeous!

Carol, I am so happy you came by today. I have not been blogging in weeks. We have moved my MIL in with us and I have been so very busy. We are blessed to still have her at 87 yrs of age.
What you have done with the box is just beautiful. You certainly have a talent for creating gorgeous things out of nothing. I am so happy you are enjoying the paper. I will also keep my eyes out for anything special I think you may love, Char

Love this little creation Carol! Aside from having a wonderfully creative and "happy to share" bloggy friend (you!) I also have another friend in Blogland who revamped both my blogs beautifully for me and I only asked her how to do just one little thing and she did it ALL! Lovely Maisy (http://www.jeanettehouse.co.uk/)... she is awesome!

I tried my hand at making hand stamped candles for Halloween using your tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing that one... fun to do and they look soo pretty! AND my dress form arrived this weekend! YAY! Now I just need to revisit that tutorial. smooches xx

Out of the blue, a handmade bird house arrived on my first step one day......from a blogger who I hardly "knew". All the adornments were made from old stuff, like doorknobs, etc. I was in awe! Pretty box Carol and I have had the pleasure of junking with Francie. She's such a cutie!
