Highlights Of The Dress Form ball

What a Ball We Had!

I'm sure by now the carriages have delivered all of your girls home safe, sound, and exhausted!   As they left they were all chattering about plans for next years ball and even discussing what they were going to wear!

I found Belle "Resting" on a garden bench after everyone left!

Belle and Lady Anita Man met so many new friends.....

.......The Gorgeous Miss Begonia was dressed to the nine's and everyone was envious of her figure!

And Maybel in her stunning Paris inspired attire

And of course it wouldn't be a party if the.....Err...."Fun girls" didn't show up.....

.....Susan...And...

And just when I thought I was in over my head some extra help arrived.....

....Judy sent over Mabel her head house maid for My Ladies Service....

.......And Sherry sent "Gigi" her proper French maid

So many guests generously shared tutorials on making their forms....
.....Deneen shared her chicken wire dress form tutorial

....And Beansie shared her dish soap bottle tutorial

Yes, they were big

And they were small.....

And fun was had by all!

The Dress form ball is still available for viewing  HERE

My Sincerest thank you to all who attended.  I know the time it takes to plan, dress, photograph, write a post, and link up to the ball......Thank you for making it a success!

It's never to early to start planning for the 3rd annual dress form ball in 2014!

Keep your eyes open for a vintage form and if that fails HERE is info on transforming or purchasing a new one

Happy Creating!
Carol

Oh, Carol! What a gala and what a success. I enjoyed the many "girls" that you featured and wonder just how wild this party must have been...Just how did that one little lady end up with a lamp shade on her head???
Thanks for putting a smile on my face.
Blessings,
Carolynn xo

What a fabulous event it was! The younger sister is still recovering; she's hoping that what happened at the ball stays at the ball. Thank you for being a perfect hostess.

Thank YOU Carol, for being the perfect hostess with the mostest! Meggie had a wonderful time and got to meet so many new friends! That wouldn't be possible without you. Thank you as well for featuring her in your post today! I know we will be re-visiting many of the party goers again and again!

I was sitting having lunch with Ceekay and Marty in AZ when Ceekay started talking about the wonderful dress forms on your party that she had seen that day- I hit me smack in the face then that I had forgotten to do my post and preschedule it to post for your party. Darn Darn. NOw that I am not doing much bloggin I forget way to much when it comes to posting!

I had fun looking at all the great dresses and dress forms that attended your ball! Love the one with all the crochet trims and would love to update mine to look something like her!

Hope you have a great week friend! Nice and warm today- 60's- we are supposed to get snow later this week though! No flower planting yet though I am dying to get my hands in some dirt!

I never really thought about finding or buying a dress form...but all of that has changed now! I visited a lot of your links and discovered 'new' blogs. I was amazed at the beauty of each and every one! I just may be taking part next year. I think I can find a dress for the ball at the thrift store...don't you? heehee!

Hi Carol,
I'm so sorry that I missed the Dress Ball. My ladyship wasn't able to attend since she was out of town at another gig! Maybe next year for sure.

I've so enjoyed seeing all the lovelies.

Carol Dear I have truly never had so much fun being part of a Linky party. I visited every attendee. I saw that you took the time to comment on every blog of every attendee. GiGi was so happy to be able to help the ladies and she and Vintage Janey both came home safe and so happy with all the fun they had. Thank you and I already have plans to join 2014's Ball. Truly Spectacular my dear...

Belle certainly deserves a little rest. She did a bang-up job of showing all the girls around the party (even if she did give my poor Millie one too many mimosas!)
Miss Dorothy enjoyed her visit, but was already complaining about having nothing to wear for next year's ball. Guess we'll have to start gathering bling...

Thanks for the delightful fiesta! You are a terrific hostess!

Thanks Carol for hosting such a fabulous dress form ball! Each one was really beautiful and unique! Also, thank you as you were also the one to inspire myself and Vicki to decoupage our first dress forms which led to designing digital papers to match and got me even more hooked on vintage sewing ephemera and dress forms. I’m so obsessed with old stuff I've made it my work and a big part of my life. My dress form wasn't old, it’s just one of the white plastic ones you told us all about from Barr Display but with a little Mod Podge she evokes the shabby vintage vibe I crave! So – THANK YOU!
I’ve also been daydreaming about spray gluing quilt batting to one of the plastic forms and covering it with a big piece of muslin I bought at the Goodwill and now after seeing how transformed your new fabric dress form I’m even more inspired to try.

PS - I loved all the fun names!

I missed the whole cotton pickin' thing this year. I didn't even get to do like last year and peep through the hedge. I'm glad you showed some highlights for the party poopers like me. I am going to click to see that dish soap tutorial. That looks doable and so inspired.

Thank you Carol for all the hard work you did putting on this lovely ball. The girls did arrive home safely and they had the time of their life! We were up for hours after they arrived home, as they were bubbling over with chatter about their new friends and some funny stories! Seems some of the girls had gotten quite tipsy and devilish, and of course one of them included was my Lady Kate....surprise surprise! I heard she was quite the flirt with the gentleman as usual. I just don't know what I am going to do with her! Lady Annabelle and Lady Jane had a wonderful time and are so looking forward to next years event. The girls were delighted with all the many new friends they have made, and several of them showed up here Sunday, where they spent the afternoon out by the pool working on their tans, laughing and talking non-stop about the ball. Sounds as if a good time was had by all! Oh to be young again!

Thank you for having the girls, they just had an absolute blast! They and my other girls who regret now for not attending, are all already designing what they want to wear next year! I am going to be one busy mum!

TaTa for Now!

Hugs!

Carol, I want to thank you for inviting Lady Jane to you scrumptious event. She's been talking non-stop, between her naps, about the wonderful ladies she met. She's already discussing next year's event and what to wear. She says to thank Belle and Anita Man for their gracious hospitality. Great time!!

Wow, Carol, I just realized you featured Susan. Thank you so much. The ball was a lot of fun, and we can't wait for the next one. Maybe next time I can bring a proper lady. I have a whole year to plan.
