For the last few years I have sent Christmas Post Cards instead of regular cards. I do it for a few reasons. I can print them out with a short Christmas letter (No one wants to read one of those long letters) on the front. And a very short, yet personal note to the recipient on the back, plus I save money on postage!
I print 4 to a sheet of card stock
I blurred out names and details so the blog stalking boggie men would not get me!
I use a postcard rubber stamp on the back, but you could just draw a line to divide where you are going to write a note and the address
Then my personal note...Lord, I have the worst handwriting in the world!
I have 45 Cards ready to be mailed! I feel like super women!!
I also printed and addressed 25 post card invites to my annual
"Ladies only Champagne Holiday brunch"
This is way to fun! Every year, my lady friends come over after church, dressed in their Sunday best and we have brunch, an ornament exchange, and tons of chit chat....it's a whirlwind 2 hours. I started having it on Sundays years ago because everyone seemed to have so many commitments on Friday and Saturday during the Christmas season. It's a great way to stay connected with my girlfriends from all walks of life, it might be the only time we have been able to get together all year!

I LOVE that Postcard Stamp.. I am going to have to look for one.. :) I have some SAD news... It doesn't look like there is going to be any Barn Sale anytime soon... :( They gave it to someone else... I am thinking at this point I could use one of your CHEERY Post Cards...
Love them Carol...we are going home for Christmas this year but I am going to have a champagne brunch for sure next year with all my new girlfriends over here and I will have a go at these too!

We host an "Orphan's Christmas" each Christmas Eve. Our families are several hours away, and we've always wanted our kids to wake up in their own beds Christmas morning. We have friends in the same boat, so we've always had them over Christmas Eve. It's the feel of the big extended family while still getting to sleep in their own beds and to run to the fireplace to check the stockings in their own homes.
Love the postcard idea! Postage is starting to put a real crimp in my holiday correspondence. Thanks for sharing.

Carol you are definitely wonder woman!!! Such a great idea to do post cards. I so wish I lived close to you because your brunch sounds like so much fun. I can't even imagine hosting a get together for 25 women. You ARE definitely wonder woman!

How clever of you to think of this. I just pay the price, buy the cards and pay that high postage. I would never know how to do this. Great job.
I just love the idea of a champagne brunch for the ladies! My luncheon club had a progressive dinner last year, and I hope we'll do it again.

But I'm thinking this year~ I might keep it simple and just do a ornament exchange. Everyone seems so busy with the holidays. Your so organized! I haven't even bought my Christmas cards yet. XoXo
Ladies only brunch is a wonderful way to share time with special friends. I bet there will be lots of laughter and good food. I like the idea of saving some money by using postcards. Most of us need to be smart with money these days, no matter how small the amount. ------------Shannon

Yes! I do have a holiday party every year, we call it the Jingle mingle and have the most wonderful time!!! We have been doing it for I believe seven years and it was two days ago. There are sis of us , we have a dinner and exchange fun gifts.
